Kosem Sultan Episode 28 Translation
Kosem storms into Lala's office and says I should have killed you years ago! You have poisoned Osman, you have gotten into his head. He says never, my Sultana, I -
She says you will speak to Osman, you will prevent him (from doing anything) he will not ever kill Sh. Mehmet! Lala says of course I will speak to our Hunkar, and anyway our Mufti Efendi has not given the fetva (decree) and under this condition, shehzade Mehmet cannot be killed. Kosem says he will insist! He will try every route! That is why you will speak to him!
Cennet arrives suddenly and says our Hunkar has gotten a fetva from the Rumeli military judge they will kill our Shehzade run there is no time! Lala gives Cennet a look.
Osman reads from what the judge has written, "for the rebellious shehzade who does not obey the Padishah and causes discord, for the sake of keeping order and peace in the state, his execution is permissible."
Osman stands up and says call Mehmet to me.
Mehmet anxiously waits in his room not knowing what will happen to him. Meanwhile, Lala asks Cennet whose side she is on. He says what did we discuss before? That to ensure our Hunkar becomes powerful, the end has to come for Kosem sultan and the shehzades! Cennet puts a dagger to his neck saying, watch out so that your own end doesn't come! He says what is the meaning of this?! She says it means you are going nowhere! He says have you lost your mind? Get out of my way, we must warn our Hunkar at once! She says you should pray that Kosem sultan is able to save sh. Mehmet, otherwise she will destroy the world over our heads! She pushes him down.
An agha informs Mehmet that Osman has called for him. Mehmet asks why, and the agha says I do not know.
Zulfikar and Kosem are at the secret exit outside the palace, and he tells Kosem I sent word to the Janissary barracks, hopefully we will save our Shehzade. Kosem says break the door down. The aghas work at it.
Mehmet meanwhile is making his way to Osman. Kosem and Zulfikar get inside.
Little Murad wants to eat a piece of Baklava and says Mehmet loves Baklava shall we take some to him? And we might be able to see him too. Ayshe says even if we do go, they won't allow us to see him. Murad says that's alright, at least we will hear his voice.
Halime meanwhile tells Safiye that this winter will be difficult, and covers herself up with her shawl. Safiye says it might be a sign of Kosem's fall...who knows. Halime says it is obvious Sultan Osman will kill his brother, seeing as he has asked for a fetva. Safiye says Kosem has lost loved ones before, felt the pain of their loss, mourned them. This time however, it is different. The pain of losing a child is something entirely different. It is such a pain that you go with your child into their grave!
Davut goes to Dilruba who asks who had come and Davut replies that Kilindir? agha came to inform him that the barracks are in an uproar, they are marching to the palace because Sultan Osman has gotten a fetva for the execution of his brother. Dilruba says finally, I wanted to see Kosem's face now. Davut says there is confusion and (danger) outside. She says good, let it, let the palaces demolish over their heads!
Zulfikar and Kosem realize the secret entrance has been closed up. He tells her that it has been closed up. She shouts My Mehmet, my son! and scratches at and hits the wall. Mehmet also notices the wall has been replaced and blocked up.
Zulfikar tells her to stop, he says Sultanim don't. Kosem says maybe they already killed my son!
Suleyman agha tells Mehmet our Hunkar is waiting for you.
Zulfikar says the Janissaries are at the palace by now, they will not allow Sh. Mehmet to be killed, if needed they will spill blood and enter by force.
Murad tells the aghas to open the door, he has brought something Mehmet likes. The aghas are quiet, Ayshe says haven't you heard, open the door. The door opens and they see the room is empty. Ayshe says where is my brother? What have you done to him. Murad drops the plate in shock.
Mehmet is brought to Osman inside the Divan hall. Mehmet says what is going on my Hunkar? Why am I here? Hunkar says come sit here Mehmet. Mehmet takes a seat.
Kosem prays for her son's safety.
Osman says do you remember the first time we went hunting? Mehmet says yes I recall it. Osman says we were two kids completely free of the worries of the world. We had no responsibilities. We were under our Hunkar father's wings, God forgive him. We were chasing a gazelle. Just as my father was about to hit it, another arrow came from nowhere, past us and shot straight into the gazelle's heart. My father was very angry. They went and brought the man. He was someone from the sorrounding areas, from what he said, he did not notice us. Mehmet says why are you telling me these things my Hunkar? Osman says shhhhhh...My father took the man's head, I asked him why he did it, he said I am the Padishah, no one cannot set eyes on what is mine. I said but that man said he had not seen you that is why he hit the gazelle, he replied to me by saying we can never know that. He (my father) asked me did the gazelle die? It did. So in that case that man got his punishment because we could have been killed in place of that gazelle. Mehmet says my Hunkar I have not set eyes on anything of yours. I never will. Or will you kill me? But you had given me your word, you had said you would never turn your back on me! Osman hugs his brother and kisses his head and says I kept my promise Mehmet. But you did not! He leaves. Mehmet shouts let me go, stop, let me go! But he is strangled shouting Osman, Osman. And he says I ask from God that your life and your sultanate are destroyed! And whatever you take from my life, is taken from yours!
We see that poor little Murad has seen it and runs away horrified.
Ayshe asks Murad what happened and crying, he says my brother has died, they killed my brother Mehmet. They killed my brother Mehmet.
Osman sits in his room afflicted with sadness by what he has done.
The Janissaries shout for shehzade Mehmet to be handed over and to open the doors.
The doors are opened and they see Mehmet's body. Just then, Zulfikar and Kosem arrive and see there is a crown by the door.
Murad says he hates Osman and will never forgive him then he asks about his mother why has she not come yet, she was going to save Mehmet. Ayshe says they have played us all, my brother. They have trapped us all. Murad says Osman will kill me and my brothers too right? Just then Suleyman agha enters with the other boys. Ayshe asks why they have been brought. Suleyman agha says it is by order of our Hunkar, from now on they will stay together and forbidden from leaving this room. Ayshe says you traitorous dog! Everything happened because of you! You set a trap for us! Suleyman agha says and you must return to your own room. Ayshe turns to her brother and says Murad, your siblings are in your care and then she leaves.
The men make way for Kosem and she wonders why everyone is so silent and then has she moves to the front, her eyes rest on her dead son. She falls next to him and says my Mehmet, my son? My dear, my Yusuf-faced son, what have they done to you? How have they killed my Mehmet. Wake up my son. Get up please. My Mehmet, for God's sake get up! Get up Mehmet!
We hear Osman's voice saying "exactly eleven days after I killed my brother, snow fell upon Istanbul and for weeks it snowed non stop. It was such a winter, my city lost it's form. My heart was like a burning fire amidst the ice and snow. Some people say I am the reason for such a cold winter, a price for my sins. They say it is because I brought back the law of fratricide after it was brought to an end. For re-kindling a fire that had been put out. That this is a punishment from God. Maybe it is true, maybe God is testing me with these storms. I am Osman. Sultan Osman Han. I understood that the sultanate turns a person's heart, smothers the sound of the conscience, covers the ears. It is an unlucky curse. I understood that Sultanate, is the thief that steals the innocence and makes brother's enemie s of each other. At the same time it is a fake light, making a person reach out for it without getting it in their hands. It is a kind of drunkenness. And, it is a path from which there is no return, a deep precipice, a winter which drags one into calamity. I am Osman, that day that I killed my brother, a winter storm is raging within me, so much so that it is dragging me to my absolute destiny."
Lala tells Osman that Kosem is inside, and that if he wishes they should come another time. Osman doesn't listen and moves forward. Inside, Kosem prays for her son. She recalls herself asking Mehmet why are you doing this? Mehmet replies I have no value in your eyes. Especially next to Osman. She says what kinds of words of these my son? All my children are the same to me. I love all of you. Mehmet says but you do not love me mother. Accept it. It is always Osman. He is always better. He is better at everything. He even loves you more than I do right? As if I am the one with a different mother, not him!
Safiye is with her son and Bulbul says I have been living in the Capitol for years and have never seen such a winter , my prince! Ahhh, the Bosphorus has frozen over! The ships cannot dock! The roads are blocked too! The caravans can't leave and enter...and as a result, goods cannot travel in and out. The people are troubled in this cold, and everyone is thrust into his own worries. Safiye says may God not let anyone starve, spring will come and soon Sultan Osman will go for war and never return. The doors open and Humashah enters with Zulfikar. Safiye asks what he is doing here. Humashah says do not worry I wanted him to come with me, he is with us now, he has chosen our side.
Osman says to Kosem that she must think like everyone else, that it is his fault there is so much snow and ice and that it is God punishing him for killing Mehmet. And you? You have no fault? For the sake of ruling the state and setting up secret Divan, did you not throw my brother in my way? Know that this sin belongs to you more than me. You left me no other choice mother. Kosem says I am no longer your mother. You are not my son. You will walk alone on the path you have chosen. Know that if you touch my children you have locked up in the harem, if you do the same to them as you have done to Mehmet, I will not leave it to anyone else - I will take your life myself.
Osman turns to his father's tomb and says forgive me father, forgive me for not keeping my promise to you.
Lala greets Kosem and she ignores him.

Zulfikar pledges loyalty to Iskender. Iskender says I am glad you found the right path.
People are lined up being served by Kosem personally in her soup kitchen. Eycan and Meleki wonder how long they can last as the supplies dwindle. Kosem says we will share our last morsels if we have to.
A woman brings her baby begging for help saying you are the hope for people in need, my baby is dying from hunger and cold. Please save my child! Kosem orders the baby taken to the hospital. The woman says will it live? Kosem says God Willing.
Osman walks around seeing the people's condition in the cold. He watches as people steal the shoes off the dead. Someone comments this is all happening because of that Sultan Osman...and he is enjoying himself in the palace right now!
Osman sees a woman handing out bread and is intrigued.
The harem is being shovelled and Cennet says oh it is so cold, close the doors, what are you waiting for! She says oh God I have never seen such cold! Meleksema says everyone is worried. Cennet says people cannot even step out, no one's lives or property is safe! Oh God, please send spring to us. Meleksema says and then Osman will leave for war! Cennet says yes he will and I think you should get ready for that!
Kosem meanwhile orders the granaries (grain storage) of the old palace opened for the people. Meleki comments that Halime and Safiye will not be happy about that and Kosem says let them. Eycan announces the grand vizier saying he wishes to see her. Kosem tells them to continue and goes to meet him. She asks about her children. The grand vizier says they are all well, nothing to worry about. Osman will leave for Poland as soon as the winter is over. Kosem says winter will not end until Osman is dethroned. The grand vizier says also, we caught the person you were looking for.
Osman approaches the woman handing out bread. She asks an older man how long he has been there, and says I will take you to the safe house. She pulls a knife out to Osman, who says don't be afraid, I simply wanted to help. She says what are you looking at? Then help me take him.
She asks who are those men? Osman says I am a merchant, they are with me. She says we are going that way, to Kosem Sultan's safe house. She is the only one looking after people anyway, I wish Osman would leave his palace and look at his people. Osman says maybe he is walking around. She says I doubt it, and it is because of his sins we are in this position, we are paying for his crime.
The grand vizier says that traitor is here Sultanim. It is the judge who gave the decree for Mehmet's execution. Kosem says do you sleep well at night? I do not sleep. My son's voice comes to my ears. It is because of you. Sultan Osman used your decree and killed my son. Osman says the people blame me Meleksema, they think I am the reason for this disaster. Meleksema says let whoever say what they want, your heart is so clean no one has the power to dirty it. Whatever you did, you did for the sake of the nation, and for the future of your shehzade. And isn't this the rule? For years did not many Padishahs take the same precautions?
Halime says I have not allied myself with Safiye, Kosem. I made that mistake once and we know the consequences. Kosem says you think you are using her? But she is using you. Kosem says the real big threat for us is Safiye sultan, she will try at the first opportunity to put her sh. Iskender on the throne. Haci says I guess you meant, Sh. Mustafa. Kosem shakes her head saying, Iskender is alive. I have hidden it from Osman. If Safiye finds out, she will deny it. She will take precautions, anyway she has hidden him. And then we won't ever be able to find him. Haci says then what will we do? She says I will hit them in a place, at a time where they do not expect it!

Meleksema comes across Akile and says so you are Akile. Akile says yes that is me and you - Cennet says she is our Hunkar's head Haseki Meleksema Sultan, the mother of Sh. Omer. Meleksema says teach her the rules of the harem well Cennet kalfa, so that when our Hunkar sets out for war, she should not attract trouble. Cennet says she will no stay in the harem, our Hunkar wanted the Pearl palace prepared for her, because as a free woman it is not suitable for her to stay in the harem.
Bulbul compliments Suleyman agha on becoming the head agha of the harem and that through this he has won favour and trust. Suleyman agha says thanks to Omer Efendi. Osman goes to Meleksema and says I know why you are sad, but you are making yourself sad for no reason, we spoke of this before with you, remember? This is a political marriage, no one can take your place. She says I know but I cannot get through to my heart, I cannot bear losing you. Osman says you will never lose me. I promise, I will never go back on loving you until my last breath.
Esad Efendi tells Kosem that he warned Osman, told him it was not suitable according to the rules and traditions, and people will not take it well but Sultan Osman wed her despite my disapproval. Kosem says Osman does not listen to anyone Mufti Esad Efendi. I don't know what he is trying to do, he is turning everyone into his enemy like this. I do not see a good ending if this continues. Esad Efendi says the religious scholars are unhappy. Our Hunkar does not realize it but he is playing with fire. Kosem says then since our Hunkar sees it fit this way, then he will deal with the outcomes!
Akile enters Osman's room as his bride for the first time.
Time passes and soon Osman prepares to leave for war. He bids his family farewell.
Safiye has gathered the state scholars and Esad Efendi says seeing as you have gathered us, it must be important. She says yes, it is true, because it is a matter which can change the fate of the empire. As you know during Sultan Ahmet's time we reunited with our lost Shehzade. Our Hunkar had ordered his execution, but our son is still alive. Esad Efendi says how, are you sure? Safiye says it is God's miracle, God wanted him to live, it is obvious He has a bright future in store for him.
Kosem looks at some fabric and Iskender grabs her. Don't be afraid he says. There was no other way to speak to you. She says how dare you with one word of mine they can take your life! He says yes, then I wouldn't get out from here alive, but no one would be able to kill me before I killed you! She says what is more important than your life I am curious? He says you are! Whatever happened to me, happened because of you! Without any fault of mine, you sent me to my death. You saw me as a threat to you and your children. Now what happened? Everything you fought for, you are losing one by one. And while I am alive you will continue losing. She says that is why I will take your life anyway. He says sooner or later I will get on that throne, and on that day I will kill your children. An you will be alone. She says who knows, maybe you will have everything - the throne the sultanate -but you will never have me Iskender!
Esad Efendi since Iskender is alive, let us see him too. She says when the time comes you will see him. But what we want is for our son to be announced the eldest and most mature, to be treated like the rest of the shehzades. A Janissary from the sixty fifth division, Mansur agha informs Osman about the battle. He tells him about the situation (attacking for 3 days) and that because of heavy canon fire they had to retreat.
Osman tells Pasha that he is forgiving him, and reappoints him as the Admiral because he needs valuable pashas like him during this war time.
Outside, Suleyman agha approaches Mansur saying you didn't hear it from me, but on the one hand you have the grand vizier Huseyn pasha, and on the other Haci Omer Efendi they have turned our Hunkar against the Janissaries. Mansur says yes but what of our Hunkar? Does he not know the Janissaries are the heart of the state? Suleyman agha says yes, but there are other factors at play in this. Soon many Janassary heads will roll, so be careful.
Bulbul tells Safiye that what she said very clearly upset Esad Efendi, his closeness to Kosem sultan is known. Bulbul adds, did we make a mistake exposing the secret about our Shehzade (being alive). Safiye says Esad Efendi is a very experienced man. He is aware that Sultan Osman's end is near. He wants a powerful ruler at the head of the state like everyone else. Bulbul says hopefully, that powerful ruler will be Iskender and you will return to the palace as Valide Sultan. The carriage stops and Bulbul wonders what is going on. It is Davut pasha. Davut says you will come with me. She says what is going on? What are you saying?! He says you will be our guest for a while. Bulbul says know your place Davut! She is a Valide Sultana! Davut says go to the old palace, Bulbul, until she tells us where Iskender is, she will stay with us! Dilruba says welcome, come. Safiye says have you lost your mind? Who are you to trick me? Dirluba says tell us Iskender's whereabouts now and we will release you right away.
Halil pasha tells Osman that says our Karakas Mehmet Pasha had called for reinforcements but Huseyin pasha did not send any, and Mehmet Pasha has been martyred. Osman says call Huseyin Pasha to me! Halil says it is not the pasha's fault, because of the lack of enthusiasm of the army we cannot be successful in besieging.
Osman says you may leave. Suleyman agha steps forward and says our pasha is right, the Janissaries have on heart to fight. Lala says it was Huseyin who has probably provoked the Janissaries there, he must be working for Kosem sultan trying to ruin everything. Suleyman agha says this betrayal must be punished in the most severe way. Otherwise, things will get worse.
Kosem says I still do not believe it. Iskender shows up in front of me and says such words to me! Haci says he must be itching to be killed. Eycan enters and says Dilruba has sent word that they have caught Safiye sultan. Kosem says good, fortune is finally on our side.
Davut arrives with Safiye to a barn where Halime waits. Halime motions to a seat. Safiye says it seems you have gone mad like your son! There is no other explanation for this doing of yours! Bulbul says help, help! They kidnapped Safiye Sultan! Humashah says who did? Bulbul says Davut and that unlucky whatever his name is - Zulfikar says Kilindir! Bulbul says they forcibly kidnapped her! Zulfikar says speak properly, what happened!? Bulbul says I followed them but I lost them! Please help. This is Halime's doing. Humashah says she could not have done it alone! This is also Kosem's doing! Zulfikar says don't worry I will bring your mother back.
Osman says Grand vizier, why did you not send reinforcements to Karakas Mehmet Pasha!? Huseyin says we did, but the soldiers disobeyed my orders and turned around on the way there. Our Pasha died because of the Janissaries being uncontrollable. Lala says but they say it was you who provoked the Janissaries. Huseyin says who says it? Lala says the cavalry does. Huseyin says they did not want to fight etc. Osman scolds him saying the Janissaries are looking for an excuse, if a revolt happens I will blame it on you!
Night has fallen and Safiye says so this is the end they have seen fit for us. To die alone. We will endure this for our child. She is going to be strangled when Zulfikar saves her.
Dilruba tells Kosem that Safiye did not speak and Iskender's whereabouts remain unknown. Kosem says Iskender was Safiye's only hope, when it became a question of his life, she would sacrifice herself without a fight. Halime says now what?
Bulbul asks Safiye if she is okay. Safiye says Zulfikar pasha thank you. I would have died had you not been for you. Zulfikar says they are looking everywhere for Iskender everywhere. She says oh no! We need to get him far away from the capitol. Zulfikar says it is dangerous for you to go. They can follow you and find him, but no one will suspect me. Permit me so I can get him out from there. Humashah has arranged for a ship. He will be gone from the Capitol by morning. Safiye says Bulbul knows where he is, he will take you there. She says Zulfikar pasha, I entrust his life to you, no matter what protect him!
Omer tells Osman that the Janissaries are doing all this on purpose, they are under Kosem's influence. Osman says what is the punishment for desertion? Suleyman agha says execution. Meanwhile, Bulbul and Zulfikar go to Iskender. Bulbul says they had kidnapped your mother to find out where you were hiding. Iskender asks how is mother is, Bulbul says she is fine thank God. Zulfikar says thank God your mother is fine, we got there in time, but you are in danger. Iskender says Kosem did this right? Zulfikar says now is not the time, they are looking for you everywhere.
Osman makes his way to face the Janissaries. He says my lions, my warriors, everyone should hear and know that these traitors are the shamed ones of my Janissary subjects. They fled the battle field, and betrayed their companions. For this reason, I have ordered their execution.
Mansur agha, the Janissary who had entered Osman's tent earlier and expressed that the disgruntled condition of the soldiers, mumbles angrily, when there is a barracks court for this kind of matter, since when are Janissaries executed like this? Sultan Osman's intentions are obvious - he has made enmity with us! Send word to so and so, there is no peace for Sultan Osman today!
Humashah who is with Iskender by the ship he is about to board, says to him, that it becomes more difficult every time to separate from him. Iskender says this is the last time, we will not be separated again. She says God Willing. Iskender says what is that? A box. Zulfikar says it is somethings, a kaftan and a sword belonging to your father and spme other items. While your family is away from you, I wanted that you have something from your family close to you. Humashah says you thought well Zulfikar, being far away, like this you can feel yourself close to home, close to your family. Zulfikar says Humashah you should return home so no one sees you. Humashah says when will I see him again? Let me stay a bit longer. Iskender says I do not intend to stay away long from you, I will go now, but I will gather my army and return. I will get what is my right.
Safiye enters Kosem's room.
Zulfikar says to Humashah, I could not bid my mother farewell. I want her to know that she will always be in my heart and mind. Humashah says I will tell her. Then she hugs him. Iskender says to Zulfikar thank you for all you have done. I want you to know you will get your rightful reward for it. Zulfikar says what I have done, what I always do, is for the safety of the House of Osman. Iskender says I know. Humashah says I will never forget waht you have done Zulfikar. My brother and mother have been saved because of you. Zulfikar says we must return to the palace.
Safiye says your plan didn't work, we did not allow you to make us feel the pain of losing a child. Iskender left, and you will never get to him. You make yourself out to be greater than everyone but next to us you are a nothing! You will never attain the power I posses! Everyone sees this. Whoever was around you turned their back on you. Osman, Cennet...Zulfikar. Kosem says zulfikar? Safiye says yes him! The wall you said would never break has broken. Zulfikar betrayed you. He helped Iskender escape. Kosem says you are mistaken, Zulfikar never betrayed me...he never will. He has been with me since the very beginning. We have played a game together - you have sent your son to his death with your own hands.
Iskender opens the chest Zulfikar gave him and when he pulls the sword it the chest explodes. Humashah starts screaming and Humashah says why? How can this happen Zulfikar? She says you did it? You did this? Why did you do it? I trusted you! I believed you! You betrayed me! Zulfikar says I only did what was necessary - I carried out Sultan Ahmet's command - even if it was late. She says do not touch me. I do not want to see you again! I do not want to see your face or hear your voice. You are divorced, you are divorced, you are divorced!
The Janissaries are in an uproar saying march, march foward they want to get rid of us, march forward! Lala says I told you they will use the execution as an excuse and will revolt. Osman says silence, Lala, let us go see what they want.

He will try every route! That is why you will speak to him!
Cennet arrives suddenly and says our Hunkar has gotten a fetva from the Rumeli military judge they will kill our Shehzade run there is no time! Lala gives Cennet a look.
Osman reads from what the judge has written, "for the rebellious shehzade who does not obey the Padishah and causes discord, for the sake of keeping order and peace in the state, his execution is permissible."
Osman stands up and says call Mehmet to me.
Mehmet anxiously waits in his room not knowing what will happen to him. Meanwhile, Lala asks Cennet whose side she is on. He says what did we discuss before? That to ensure our Hunkar becomes powerful, the end has to come for Kosem sultan and the shehzades! Cennet puts a dagger to his neck saying, watch out so that your own end doesn't come! He says what is the meaning of this?! She says it means you are going nowhere! He says have you lost your mind? Get out of my way, we must warn our Hunkar at once! She says you should pray that Kosem sultan is able to save sh. Mehmet, otherwise she will destroy the world over our heads! She pushes him down.
An agha informs Mehmet that Osman has called for him. Mehmet asks why, and the agha says I do not know.
Zulfikar and Kosem are at the secret exit outside the palace, and he tells Kosem I sent word to the Janissary barracks, hopefully we will save our Shehzade. Kosem says break the door down. The aghas work at it.
Mehmet meanwhile is making his way to Osman. Kosem and Zulfikar get inside.
Little Murad wants to eat a piece of Baklava and says Mehmet loves Baklava shall we take some to him? And we might be able to see him too. Ayshe says even if we do go, they won't allow us to see him. Murad says that's alright, at least we will hear his voice.
Halime meanwhile tells Safiye that this winter will be difficult, and covers herself up with her shawl. Safiye says it might be a sign of Kosem's fall...who knows. Halime says it is obvious Sultan Osman will kill his brother, seeing as he has asked for a fetva. Safiye says Kosem has lost loved ones before, felt the pain of their loss, mourned them. This time however, it is different. The pain of losing a child is something entirely different. It is such a pain that you go with your child into their grave!
Davut goes to Dilruba who asks who had come and Davut replies that Kilindir? agha came to inform him that the barracks are in an uproar, they are marching to the palace because Sultan Osman has gotten a fetva for the execution of his brother. Dilruba says finally, I wanted to see Kosem's face now. Davut says there is confusion and (danger) outside. She says good, let it, let the palaces demolish over their heads!
Zulfikar and Kosem realize the secret entrance has been closed up. He tells her that it has been closed up. She shouts My Mehmet, my son! and scratches at and hits the wall. Mehmet also notices the wall has been replaced and blocked up.
Zulfikar tells her to stop, he says Sultanim don't. Kosem says maybe they already killed my son!
Suleyman agha tells Mehmet our Hunkar is waiting for you.
Zulfikar says the Janissaries are at the palace by now, they will not allow Sh. Mehmet to be killed, if needed they will spill blood and enter by force.
Murad tells the aghas to open the door, he has brought something Mehmet likes. The aghas are quiet, Ayshe says haven't you heard, open the door. The door opens and they see the room is empty. Ayshe says where is my brother? What have you done to him. Murad drops the plate in shock.
Mehmet is brought to Osman inside the Divan hall. Mehmet says what is going on my Hunkar? Why am I here? Hunkar says come sit here Mehmet. Mehmet takes a seat.
Kosem prays for her son's safety.
Osman says do you remember the first time we went hunting? Mehmet says yes I recall it. Osman says we were two kids completely free of the worries of the world. We had no responsibilities. We were under our Hunkar father's wings, God forgive him. We were chasing a gazelle. Just as my father was about to hit it, another arrow came from nowhere, past us and shot straight into the gazelle's heart. My father was very angry. They went and brought the man. He was someone from the sorrounding areas, from what he said, he did not notice us. Mehmet says why are you telling me these things my Hunkar? Osman says shhhhhh...My father took the man's head, I asked him why he did it, he said I am the Padishah, no one cannot set eyes on what is mine. I said but that man said he had not seen you that is why he hit the gazelle, he replied to me by saying we can never know that. He (my father) asked me did the gazelle die? It did. So in that case that man got his punishment because we could have been killed in place of that gazelle. Mehmet says my Hunkar I have not set eyes on anything of yours. I never will. Or will you kill me? But you had given me your word, you had said you would never turn your back on me! Osman hugs his brother and kisses his head and says I kept my promise Mehmet. But you did not! He leaves. Mehmet shouts let me go, stop, let me go! But he is strangled shouting Osman, Osman. And he says I ask from God that your life and your sultanate are destroyed! And whatever you take from my life, is taken from yours!
We see that poor little Murad has seen it and runs away horrified.
Ayshe asks Murad what happened and crying, he says my brother has died, they killed my brother Mehmet. They killed my brother Mehmet.
Osman sits in his room afflicted with sadness by what he has done.
The Janissaries shout for shehzade Mehmet to be handed over and to open the doors.
The doors are opened and they see Mehmet's body. Just then, Zulfikar and Kosem arrive and see there is a crown by the door.
Murad says he hates Osman and will never forgive him then he asks about his mother why has she not come yet, she was going to save Mehmet. Ayshe says they have played us all, my brother. They have trapped us all. Murad says Osman will kill me and my brothers too right? Just then Suleyman agha enters with the other boys. Ayshe asks why they have been brought. Suleyman agha says it is by order of our Hunkar, from now on they will stay together and forbidden from leaving this room. Ayshe says you traitorous dog! Everything happened because of you! You set a trap for us! Suleyman agha says and you must return to your own room. Ayshe turns to her brother and says Murad, your siblings are in your care and then she leaves.
The men make way for Kosem and she wonders why everyone is so silent and then has she moves to the front, her eyes rest on her dead son. She falls next to him and says my Mehmet, my son? My dear, my Yusuf-faced son, what have they done to you? How have they killed my Mehmet. Wake up my son. Get up please. My Mehmet, for God's sake get up! Get up Mehmet!
We hear Osman's voice saying "exactly eleven days after I killed my brother, snow fell upon Istanbul and for weeks it snowed non stop. It was such a winter, my city lost it's form. My heart was like a burning fire amidst the ice and snow. Some people say I am the reason for such a cold winter, a price for my sins. They say it is because I brought back the law of fratricide after it was brought to an end. For re-kindling a fire that had been put out. That this is a punishment from God. Maybe it is true, maybe God is testing me with these storms. I am Osman. Sultan Osman Han. I understood that the sultanate turns a person's heart, smothers the sound of the conscience, covers the ears. It is an unlucky curse. I understood that Sultanate, is the thief that steals the innocence and makes brother's enemie s of each other. At the same time it is a fake light, making a person reach out for it without getting it in their hands. It is a kind of drunkenness. And, it is a path from which there is no return, a deep precipice, a winter which drags one into calamity. I am Osman, that day that I killed my brother, a winter storm is raging within me, so much so that it is dragging me to my absolute destiny."
Lala tells Osman that Kosem is inside, and that if he wishes they should come another time. Osman doesn't listen and moves forward. Inside, Kosem prays for her son. She recalls herself asking Mehmet why are you doing this? Mehmet replies I have no value in your eyes. Especially next to Osman. She says what kinds of words of these my son? All my children are the same to me. I love all of you. Mehmet says but you do not love me mother. Accept it. It is always Osman. He is always better. He is better at everything. He even loves you more than I do right? As if I am the one with a different mother, not him!
Safiye is with her son and Bulbul says I have been living in the Capitol for years and have never seen such a winter , my prince! Ahhh, the Bosphorus has frozen over! The ships cannot dock! The roads are blocked too! The caravans can't leave and enter...and as a result, goods cannot travel in and out. The people are troubled in this cold, and everyone is thrust into his own worries. Iskender says I know, there is disorder, the people have been plundering homes let alone shops! Safiye says may God not let anyone starve, spring will come and soon Sultan Osman will go for war and never return. The doors open and Humashah enters with Zulfikar. Safiye asks what he is doing here. Humashah says do not worry I wanted him to come with me, he is with us now, he has chosen our side.
Osman says to Kosem that she must think like everyone else, that it is his fault there is so much snow and ice and that it is God punishing him for killing Mehmet. And you? You have no fault? For the sake of ruling the state and setting up secret Divan, did you not throw my brother in my way? Know that this sin belongs to you more than me. You left me no other choice mother. Kosem says I am no longer your mother. You are not my son. You will walk alone on the path you have chosen. Know that if you touch my children you have locked up in the harem, if you do the same to them as you have done to Mehmet, I will not leave it to anyone else - I will take your life myself.
Osman turns to his father's tomb and says forgive me father, forgive me for not keeping my promise to you.
Lala greets Kosem and she ignores him.
Safiye tells Zulfikar you have lost our trust long ago, why should we trust you? There is no one left who does not know about your ties to Kosem! Humashah says I have wanted him to come here mother. As you know the conditions have changed. Iskender says mother let us find out what the matter is. Zulfikar says Sultan Osman has prepared his own end by killing sh. Mehmet. The scholars and soldiers are uneasy. They will dethrone Sultan Osman at the soonest opportunity. At that time, who will get on the throne? Iskender says on the one side, Halime's mad son Mustafa, and on the other, Kosem's little shehzades. Humashah and Zulfikar say yes. Humashah says the eldest and most mature should get on the throne and that means, we need a powerful sultan like you. Zulfikar says that is why I accepted Humashah's offer. The fight over the throne should be over, for the sake of order, Sh. Iskender should get on the throne. Safiye says our thoughts and paths are the same, but we are not sure with whose convincing you have come here. Humashah says mother come with me. Safiye says do not take your eyes off him. Safiye says Humashah do you know what you are doing? Have you not learned from what we went through? Humashah says trust him for once, he is sincere. Safiye says how do you know? Humashah says I know! When the matter is about the fate of the state! And accept it - we need his support. You know the power he wields in the barracks. We can have the Janissaries behind us with his help. Safiye says how can we believe him on only a mere word of his. First he must gain our trust and until then he will not be with Iskender and not know where Iskender stays, not you and not him!
Iskender says to Zulfikar I had told the next time we meet either you would kill me or I would kill you, now you come before me and say you are pledging allegiance to me. Zulfikar says forgive me, but you set that conditions. Sh. Mehmet has been killed, for the sake of the state, I have to do what is right. Iskender says good, because I was going to get on that throne sooner or later and those against me will be punished, and those with me, will be rewarded.
Zulfikar pledges loyalty to Iskender. Iskender says I am glad you found the right path.
People are lined up being served by Kosem personally in her soup kitchen. Eycan and Meleki wonder how long they can last as the supplies dwindle. Kosem says we will share our last morsels if we have to.
A woman brings her baby begging for help saying you are the hope for people in need, my baby is dying from hunger and cold. Please save my child! Kosem orders the baby taken to the hospital. The woman says will it live? Kosem says God Willing.
Osman walks around seeing the people's condition in the cold. He watches as people steal the shoes off the dead. Someone comments this is all happening because of that Sultan Osman...and he is enjoying himself in the palace right now!
Osman sees a woman handing out bread and is intrigued.
The harem is being shovelled and Cennet says oh it is so cold, close the doors, what are you waiting for! She says oh God I have never seen such cold! Meleksema says everyone is worried. Cennet says people cannot even step out, no one's lives or property is safe! Oh God, please send spring to us. Meleksema says and then Osman will leave for war! Cennet says yes he will and I think you should get ready for that!
Kosem meanwhile orders the granaries (grain storage) of the old palace opened for the people. Meleki comments that Halime and Safiye will not be happy about that and Kosem says let them. Eycan announces the grand vizier saying he wishes to see her. Kosem tells them to continue and goes to meet him. She asks about her children. The grand vizier says they are all well, nothing to worry about. Osman will leave for Poland as soon as the winter is over. Kosem says winter will not end until Osman is dethroned. The grand vizier says also, we caught the person you were looking for.
Osman approaches the woman handing out bread. She asks an older man how long he has been there, and says I will take you to the safe house. She pulls a knife out to Osman, who says don't be afraid, I simply wanted to help. She says what are you looking at? Then help me take him.
She asks who are those men? Osman says I am a merchant, they are with me. She says we are going that way, to Kosem Sultan's safe house. She is the only one looking after people anyway, I wish Osman would leave his palace and look at his people. Osman says maybe he is walking around. She says I doubt it, and it is because of his sins we are in this position, we are paying for his crime.

Whatever you did, you did for the sake of the nation, and for the future of your shehzade. And isn't this the rule? For years did not many Padishahs take the same precautions?

Kosem shakes her head saying, Iskender is alive. I have hidden it from Osman. If Safiye finds out, she will deny it. She will take precautions, anyway she has hidden him. And then we won't ever be able to find him. Haci says then what will we do? She says I will hit them in a place, at a time where they do not expect it!

Spring arrives and Osman and Akile are married.

Safiye has gathered the state scholars and Esad Efendi says seeing as you have gathered us, it must be important. She says yes, it is true, because it is a matter which can change the fate of the empire. As you know during Sultan Ahmet's time we reunited with our lost Shehzade. Our Hunkar had ordered his execution, but our son is still alive. Esad Efendi says how, are you sure? Safiye says it is God's miracle, God wanted him to live, it is obvious He has a bright future in store for him.
Kosem looks at some fabric and Iskender grabs her. Don't be afraid he says. There was no other way to speak to you. She says how dare you with one word of mine they can take your life! He says yes, then I wouldn't get out from here alive, but no one would be able to kill me before I killed you! She says what is more important than your life I am curious? He says you are! Whatever happened to me, happened because of you! Without any fault of mine, you sent me to my death. You saw me as a threat to you and your children. Now what happened? Everything you fought for, you are losing one by one. And while I am alive you will continue losing. She says that is why I will take your life anyway. He says sooner or later I will get on that throne, and on that day I will kill your children. An you will be alone. She says who knows, maybe you will have everything - the throne the sultanate -but you will never have me Iskender!

A Janissary from the sixty fifth division, Mansur agha informs Osman about the battle. He tells him about the situation (attacking for 3 days) and that because of heavy canon fire they had to retreat.
Osman tells Pasha that he is forgiving him, and reappoints him as the Admiral because he needs valuable pashas like him during this war time.
Outside, Suleyman agha approaches Mansur saying you didn't hear it from me, but on the one hand you have the grand vizier Huseyn pasha, and on the other Haci Omer Efendi they have turned our Hunkar against the Janissaries. Mansur says yes but what of our Hunkar? Does he not know the Janissaries are the heart of the state? Suleyman agha says yes, but there are other factors at play in this. Davut says go to the old palace, Bulbul, until she tells us where Iskender is, she will stay with us! Dilruba says welcome, come. Safiye says have you lost your mind? Who are you to trick me? Dirluba says tell us Iskender's whereabouts now and we will release you right away.
Halil pasha tells Osman that says our Karakas Mehmet Pasha had called for reinforcements but Huseyin pasha did not send any, and Mehmet Pasha has been martyred. Osman says call Huseyin Pasha to me! Halil says it is not the pasha's fault, because of the lack of enthusiasm of the army we cannot be successful in besieging.
Osman says you may leave. Suleyman agha steps forward and says our pasha is right, the Janissaries have on heart to fight. Lala says it was Huseyin who has probably provoked the Janissaries there, he must be working for Kosem sultan trying to ruin everything. Safiye says your plan didn't work, we did not allow you to make us feel the pain of losing a child. Iskender left, and you will never get to him. You make yourself out to be greater than everyone but next to us you are a nothing! You will never attain the power I posses! Everyone sees this. Whoever was around you turned their back on you. Osman, Cennet...Zulfikar. Kosem says zulfikar? Safiye says yes him! The wall you said would never break has broken. Zulfikar betrayed you. He helped Iskender escape. Kosem says you are mistaken, Zulfikar never betrayed me...he never will. He has been with me since the very beginning. We have played a game together - you have sent your son to his death with your own hands.
Iskender opens the chest Zulfikar gave him and when he pulls the sword it the chest explodes. Humashah starts screaming and Humashah says why? How can this happen Zulfikar? She says you did it? You did this? Why did you do it? I trusted you! I believed you! You betrayed me! Zulfikar says I only did what was necessary - I carried out Sultan Ahmet's command - even if it was late. She says do not touch me. I do not want to see you again! I do not want to see your face or hear your voice. You are divorced, you are divorced, you are divorced!
The Janissaries are in an uproar saying march, march foward they want to get rid of us, march forward! Lala says I told you they will use the execution as an excuse and will revolt. Osman says silence, Lala, let us go see what they want.

Kosem Sultan Episode 27 Translation
YOUNG OSMAN
Mustafa says mother they will kill me, they will kill me, she says shh, that is impossible, even if they want, they cannot because aside from you there is no member of the House of Osman left. They have all died. You are the only hope for the mighty state.
We see Kosem running to her children. Dilruba meanwhile prays for her brother asking God to help him, protect him and his reign. Zulfikar says the princes...the princes and Humashah tells him that there is nothing he can do for them, she has already warned Kosem and only she can save them. Zulfikar says that dog Davut has gone to the palace and he will kill them all, Humashah tells the aghas to help her with Zulfikar.
Kosem finds Davut exiting the door to the room where the princes are and cries, oh my Lord! My princes!
Davut approaches and she says curse you Davut, I will kill you with my own hands. Haci telsl her not to go inside and to wait outside, but she enters and embraces her children asking if they are well. Kasim says they were going to kill us. Mehmet says that Davut saved them at the last minute. She tells the executioners to get out. Then to her sons, thank God my Lord saved you! Davut tells Haci as you can see, they are alive, now where is Dilruba sultan? Haci says be patient, you will certainly see your wife. Kosem says thank God, no one will touch you again! Come with me.
The doors open in the Sultan's chmaber and Kosem enters with her entourage. Halime says I will show you what it means to attack the palace with palace troops You will pay for what you have done! Kosem says actually you will pay! You will pay in this Divan and in the Divan of the afterlife! The shehzades enter and Cennet praises God that they are alive. Halime says how is this possible? Kosem says Davut Pasha helped them, he clearly values Dilruba more than you value her. Kosem orders Halime thrown into the dungeons and Mustafa to be locked away again.
They shout to be let go, and they hug one time, Mustafa says you swore to me they could not touch me! She says I promise we will be reunited! I promise! Kosem explains to her children that Mustafa is not capable of carrying out the duties of a Sultan. Murat asks what is wrong with him. She replies that he has lost his mind, he is mad/crazy and that is why it was necessary for him to be removed from the throne. Then she tells Cennet to bring her daughters from the old palace so they can all be together on this happy day.
Mustafa shouts saying am I not your Padishah, why are you not obeying? Open the door, mother open the door, aghas open! Halime meanwile tells the aghas to leave her, my son is still the padishah, I am your Valide Sultan! I will take all your heads!
Kosem is with her children. She says our shehzades have been locked away for three months. God knows I did not want this to happen, all that happened is Halime's fault. She broke the promise she made me. But I have kept the promise I made to you and your father. I protected my princes and the state. With God's permission the bad days are over, our winter has ended. From now on the throne of the House of Osman - is yours Osman. Your reign has begun.
In the morning, Osman is announced. The men wonder what is going on. The grand Mufti steps forward and says Sultan Mustafa is well, however since he is not suitable/sound/mature (to carry out his duties) for the continuation of the state, he has stepped down from the throne. For this reason, Sultan Osman Han has ascended the throne. The different pashas, beginning with the grand vizier are being announced and they pledge their allegiance to the new Sultan.
Up in the tower, Mehmet tells Kosem she is making a mistake, that he should have gotten on the throne not Osman. Kosem says one day with God's permission you will get your place on the throne, as you are now the heir apparent. But, it is not the right time to speak of this. Mehmet says I think it is the perfect time. What if we go through the same things again? Kasim says would my brother Osman kill us? Murad our brother Osman loves us, he would never do that, right mother? Kosem says yes my Murad, do not doubt your brother, he will do whatever is needed for your sakes.
Davut is taken to Dilruba and she asks about her mother and brother and he says they are fine. She thinks this means that Kosem's children have been killed and all is well. He says I did what I could but there was no other way to save you. I prevented it - I handed over the princes to save you. She asks about Mustafa and he says he has been dethroned.
Cennet tells Halime the time has come. Halime says Kosem has ordered, she will kill me right? Cennet says Kosem has spared your life, you are going to the old palace. Halime asks about Mustafa. Cennet says he has been locked in his old room but his life is safe. Halime asks for Menekshe to be sent to him. Cennet says she has been thrown out of the harem as she deserves, and her wealth taken back from her.
Dilruba scolds Davut saying you promised to protect my brother no matter what. He says this life is meaningless for me without you - the throne, this palace, everything is useless without you. If you are not with me, then let everything be destroyed. She says everything is destroyed anyway, we have lost. He says we can win again, if we work together, he promises her that they will see her brother on the throne again before they die and he will protect her and him with his life.
Mustafa meets with Meleksema and tells her she will always be with him from now on, she will give him princes and princesses and she says this is what I wish - to have a family with you. Haci interrupts saying that Kosem awaits him inside.

Kosem tells Osman princehood has ended, now you are sultan of the seven regions, your responsibility is heavy, I am always with you. He says thank you mother, your presence gives me strength. However, there is a matter troubling my mind. I have heard that the decree about changing succession to the eldest and most suitable, was not written by my father, but you wrote it. Is this true? Kosem says who said that? Osman says not important who said it, just answer my question, did you write it? Kosem says I had to do it for the wellbeing of all you. Osman says not for me, but more for my siblings - you thought I would kill them right? KOsem says I already spoke to you about this matter. Osman says we were locked up from three months! And yesterday we were almost killed. My brothers and I have paid the price for your mistake, now it is your time. Kosem says what price? He says you do not have my permission to return to the Palace, you will continue living in the old palace.
Humashah tells Iskender I did not think you thought like this, they are too young. Iskender says I was a child once too, they were going to execute me, my mother saved me. Then, Sultan Ahmet wanted to kill me. And Osman would do the same. When this is the case, why should I feel sorry for them? Safiye says he is right, we can't feel sorry for anyone. Osman says this is what makes me sad, to be at the mercy of others to get what is my right! If you really had trusted me, you would have known I would never kill my brothers. Kosem says God knows my heart. I did not doubt you for a moment, and I never did anything against you. Maybe I made a decision for the next hundred years. Osman says you wanted the end of fratricide? You could have come to me. It would take one word from you, I would have put the world before you. But you, you chose to make a fake decree. Osman says my brothers will live free and safely in this palace, you can come and visit them from time to time.
Kosem asks Cennet why she told Osman about the decree and Cennet says she did not. Kosem says then you told someone. Cennet says you are looking for someone to fault, but it is not me, Kosem says it's my fault then! Cennet says I wish Osman had gotten on the throne in the beginning and we would not have gone through all this.
Mehmet goes to see Osman and asks how he can send his mother away, does she not have any rights over him. She put her life in danger to put you on the throne, is this what she gets in return? Speak Osman say something. Osman says I do not have to explain to anyone. Also you will call me my Hunkar from now on and never again enter without permission! You may leave.
Kosem's monologue summarized: Be patient Kosem, don't look to the seas, but look to the mountains, feel that love in your heart that is without vengeance, don't look at the darkness, look at the light of the moon, and be patient Kosem. YEAR 1621 - Haci informs her of updates about her soup kitchens and other charities. Kosem asks the man who opens the door if they accept guests. In the Divan Halil informs him that the attacks from the Cossacks continue but after every ambush, they have run off and seek protection from the Polish and Davut tells him that a Viscount of the principality of Transylvania has asked for Osman's intervention. Osman says that help will be sent, then he asks the grandvizier (GV) how the campaign preparations are going and the GV says that they will soon set out, bring the keys of Hotyn Fortress to him. Osman says what does this mean, didn't I tell you I will personally bring the keys? I will personally command the army!
Kosem is eating and asks what the boy's name is and says it is the same as her youngest son Ibrahim. She asks how school is. The woman says they could not send him, their condition is not good. Her husband scolds her saying why do you say these things at this time. Kosem says no let her. The woman says they owe great debts. Kosem says to Meleki to pay off the debts and she will pay for the child's education expenses. The woman says I had heard that Kosem sultan comes in disguise to the streets and helps the needy and I did not believe it, but it is true! Then she prays for her.

Osman says for years many sultans abstained from going to war, but I will personally head the army like the powerful Sultan Fatih and Sultan Suleyman and the era of conquering will start anew! Do not forget, a Sultan's place is certainly in the battlefield. Davut agrees obviously to cause trouble.
Meleksema worries about Osman wanting to leave to war and she asks Cennet to ask Lala to intervene. Then she goes into labour. Cennet shouts for them to tell Osman.
Osman speaks of his dreams of war to Lala and says Hotyn will just be the start. Lala says there is something he must decide about - then says I told you what happened to your father Ahmet when he went to war against the Celalis and they tried to put Mustafa on the throne. Lala says the same thing could happen. Osman says they will put Mehmet on the throne? Lala says the potential is even enough for worry. You know the love the Janissaries have for Mehmt, we must take precautions. Osman says he will not kill Mehmet. Lala says take him to war with you. It is dangerous for him to stay in the capitol.
Suleyman agha tells Osman about Meleksema.
The pashas worry about Osman's safety if he goes. The grand vizier says Kosem will help show the way. One of them says to Davut that he has found out when the council will meet, and tells him the place. He says will I be able to see my son? I told you want you wanted, please leave my son now. Davut says you didn't make me sad, so I won't make you sad.
Osman sees his baby and asks how Meleksema is who says she is happy she has everything she wanted, him and now a baby boy. Osman calls for his siblings to be present at the naming ceremony.
Halime says Kosem has not returned yet. Safiye says sarcastically, she is doing good works, the angel with no wings...she is merely showing off to the people to win their favour. Halime says when she loses her power let us see who will remain with her. She will die in wretchedness.
Dilruba enters and tells them that Davut has found out Kosem will meet with the council tomorrow morning.
Osman names his baby Omer after reciting God's praise in his ears and then tells Lala he has named him after him. All the kids wish the baby health and happiness and congratulate Osman except Mehmet who is speechless.
Cennet says to lala, that Osman has shown how much he values lala by naming his child after him. He says it is very late, we should return to our palace, I miss you.
Osman tells Mehmet that he is setting out for war and explains his route. Mehmet asks what will happen to him (Mehmet), will he go or stay. Osman says which do you choose? Mehmet says whatever you think is best. Mehmet says there is a rumour going around that if you have your own son, then you will kill your brothers. I did not believe it of course, but Murad and Kasim are afraid. Osman says go say to them, that just as my late father did not kill his brother, I will not kill my brothers.
An agha informs Zulfikar that Kosem has come to see him. Kosem says tonight I visited a house, in the crowd it was as if I saw Iskender, can he be alive.
Bulbul takes some herbal drink and she says ever since you came to be with me, everything is complete. She says get ready, tomorrow is Kosem's secret Divan, when Osman hears, nothing will stay as it was before. Kosem's end is near. Her agha informs her that he followed Iskender as she ordered and it may not please her what he has to say. He was following Kosem sultan and she might have noticed him.
Meanwhile Zulfikar tells Kosem that is impossible because he personally executed him and she must have seen someone similar. She says maybe I followed him but he disappeared in the darkness. Then if it wasn't him, who was it? Zulfi says I will look into it. She says good because Halime has allied with Safiye and they will not rest. Zulfi says for sure it is their doing. Humashah asks what is going on. Kosem says it is about her charity. Zulfikar tells Humashah the same when she asks him.
Ayshe tells Mehmet to sit, he makes her dizzy. She says why are you so worried? He promised he wouldn't kill you. He says of course he did, he wouldn't openly say he will kill me. Then he tells her he will take him along on the campaign. Mehmet says he is worried, he might get rid of him while they are away. Ayshe says that is impossible, our mother will prevent that, she will never allow it.
Dilruba has gone to see Osman and congratulates him on his son's birth. She says I know you are angry with my mother and I we made great mistakes in the past. I wish to beg your forgiveness on this happy day. Please let me see Mustafa just once.
Zulfikar follows his wife.
Mustafa's condition has worsened and he does not recognize his own sister and she realizes that and says you have not recognized me?
Safiye akss Iskender what he thinks he is doing and that why would he go out to see Kosem. He wonders how she found out. She says if she saw you, everything will be ruined. He says I was disguised and I do not think she saw me in that crowd and darkness. Safiye says this isn't the first time, you must have gone many times! Because she is your biggest weakness right? Don't look at my face like that, I know you are in love with her!
Humashah is able to trick Zulfikar and throw him off her. Safiye tells Iskender to stay away from Kosem, especially if he wants the throne. He says mother, then when am I getting on that throne. I am a prince, I am tired of hiding. She says we will deal with it and be patient. Humashah enters and says that Zulfikar was following her and that last night Kosem had come to the palace and that they must have found out about Iskender - but how! Safiye says do you hear that, Iskender?! Humasha says it seems you know something. Iskender says she might have seen me last night, but she can never be sure. Safiye asks what about Zulfikar he has even followed her!
Kosem recalls her last encounter with Iskender who had said to her that a Shehzade stands before and she should know her place and that the family she talks of is him!
Osman has gone to visit Kosem who says how happy, you have not come to visit me in a long time. He says you know state matters - I did not find time. He tells her about his baby boy and she embraces him saying you do not know how happy that makes me! Our family is growing!

Dilruba tells Davut that she saw her brother and that he looked at me like a stranger, he did not recognize me. She then says I want her dead - I want Kosem who made us go through all these pains to suffer. Davut says death is too easy, we will make her suffering worse than death.
Meanwhile Kosem says so you named your son after your lala Omer Efendi. Osman says I know you do not like him, but his place with me is different. Kosem says he is your lala, of course you must value him but do not raise your subjects too high, otherwise they may fall prey to arrogance and cast shadow over your rule. Osman says do not worry, no one can cast shadow over my throne. There is something else I wish to seek your opinion on - in the spring I will go for the campaign, and I want my brother Mehmet to accompany me, what do you say? Kosem says of course you know best, but when I do not even want you to go out - what can I say, there is no hurry, it is too early. Osman says I am still a small child in your eyes right? Humashah laughs and says what are you talking about? He says I know he is in the Capitol. Where is he? Where have you hidden him? She says what will you do? Will you go tell Kosem right away? Or will you deliver him to our Hunkar? What will you do Zulfikar? I will NEVER tell you. Never. I made that mistake once and I won't do it again.
Dilruba tells her mother she went to see her brother today and lies and says he was well, he laughed and joked with her and said he misses you very much. Halime says I wish I could see him with my own eyes. Dilruba says do not worry, soon we will reunite with him permanently. Halime says Kosem left recently, the storm is here. Dilruba says she will finally get what she deserves.
The pashas tell Kosem that nothing they said had any effect. Kosem says that Osman must stay in the Capitol because there are dangers from every corner, and they await him to leave the capitol. Halil asks who? Kosem says Safiye and Halime are in cahoots with one another now. They want to bring about the rule of fratricide again and their aim is obvious, first to kill my children and to get rid of me. The Mufti says we will never allow it, we will not stand for even a single shehzade being executed. Kosem says we won't allow of course, but his Lala is always pitting him against us and now that he has his own son, Lala will try to push him to bring back the fratricide law. The Mufti says the law has changed, and anyway, without a fetva (religious ruling of the entire council of religious scholars and officials) he cannot do that. Osman is suddenly announced.
Safiye says we spoke with Sultan Osman and told him about what Kosem is doing behind his back. Halime says I would have wanted to see her face..let us see how she will come out alive from this fire. Safiye says actually you watch how she will look when she loses her children, thousands of candles will burn in her heart and they will never be put out. Dilruba says if I were you I wouldn't speak so quickly. This is Kosem...it is not obvious what she will do. Halime says speak auspiciously she will not win this time.
Osman meanwhile shouts explain at once! How dare you belittle power and set up a secret Divan (Council). Does it befall you to question my decisions? Kosem says leave me alone with my Hunkar - he cuts her off. Since you set up a secret like this, then you have no place in my Divan. He then removes the grand vizier from his position. The grand vizier says it is not my fault, you are making a mistake. Osman says you heedless man, how do you speak like this with me! Everyone is shocked and Osman tells Kosem to come with him.
He says while everyone was speaking against you I was defending you, I said my mother would not betray me, but I was wrong. Kosem says I did not ever do anything against you, how can you doubt me, I am simply working to protect your rule. He asks who are you protecting me from? She says from everyone! All the traitors you see and do not see! The ones who want us to be divided against each other and then set eyes on your throne! I swear upon my children I did not betray, and I will not betray you! Osman says go bid farewell to your children for the last time because I am forbidding you from seeing them again!
Lala meanwhile tells Halil pasha he has been removed from the Admiral position and that all his wealth will be taken. Halil says all this is your doing, but the day will come when you will answer for this. Lala says to the Mufti that out of respect for his age, he may stay in his position but that all his duties aside from giving fetvas are now transferred to Lala. The Mufti says this sounds more like your decision than our Hunkars.
Murad wonders why they have been gathered. Mehmet says he doesnt know and asks Eycan if she knows. Kosem enters and says my children, my reason to exist, for a while I will not be able to see you. Ayshe and Mehmet, your siblings are entrusted to you. Mehmet asks what this means if she is going somewhere? Kosem says your brother Hunkar has prohibited me from entering the palace, but don't worry it will be a short time. Mehmet says why? Kosem says I will tell you. Murad says are you leaving us, will we never see you again? Kosem says would I ever leave you? I promise this separation will not last long.
Osman says to Haci Mustafa, you who are my Darus saadet Agha, ( Literally, the agha of the Gate of Felicity, a position of the highest ranking for aghas. Also called Kapi Agha. The Kapi Agha had many responsibilities and privileges and also served as an adviser to the Sultan.) Your loyalty was to be only to me, but you forgot this and did things behind my back. Haci says Never my Hunkar, whatever my sultana did, she did for your sake and to protect your throne. forgive me I - Osman cuts him off and says I no longer want to see you in my palace, you are exiled to Egypt. Your wealth will all be put into the state public treasury.
Ayshe says see mother that valued son of yours turned his face away from you once again. First he sent you to the old palace, now he completely separated you from us. Lala tells Osman that everyone in the secret Divan has been punished and the grand vizier has lost his position. Osman says may it be for the best.
Haci says to Cennet congratulations, you and your husband together have sunk us, aren't you happy you finally got what you wanted, I am exiled. Cennet says you are unfair. Would I ever want this? Ask Eycan, we were together. If I had known I would have warned you guys. Eycan says yes, Cennet is not at fault. Haci says to Kosem I am leaving the palace, I have been exiled to Egypt, please forgive me if I have done anything. Kosem says I do not bid you farewell, you will return one day. He says even if I do not, as long as you and your shehzades stay well. That is my only wish. Kosem says go safely Haci agha. Kosem asks the Mufti what Osman is trying to do, why he is changing back the rules, does he want to kill his brothers? Dilruba enters and tells them that Davut has found out Kosem will meet with the council tomorrow morning.
Osman names his baby Omer after reciting God's praise in his ears and then tells Lala he has named him after him. All the kids wish the baby health and happiness and congratulate Osman except Mehmet who is speechless.
Cennet says to lala, that Osman has shown how much he values lala by naming his child after him. He says it is very late, we should return to our palace, I miss you.
Osman tells Mehmet that he is setting out for war and explains his route. Mehmet asks what will happen to him (Mehmet), will he go or stay. Osman says which do you choose? Mehmet says whatever you think is best. Mehmet says there is a rumour going around that if you have your own son, then you will kill your brothers. Humashah asks what is going on. Kosem says it is about her charity. Zulfikar tells Humashah the same when she asks him.
Ayshe tells Mehmet to sit, he makes her dizzy. She says why are you so worried? He promised he wouldn't kill you. He says of course he did, he wouldn't openly say he will kill me. Then he tells her he will take him along on the campaign. Mehmet says he is worried, he might get rid of him while they are away. Davut says are you going against the Sultan's orders?! Mustafa has some sort of seizure or something, probably from the medication Halime gave. Davut tells the aghas that they will answer later, and to take Osman to the dungeons. Halime calls for doctors.
Mehmet calls for the aghas but no answer. Finally he doors open and Mehmet asks what happened to Osman he is told that they have imprisoned him.
Cennet is thankful Osman is alright. Osman says they were going to execute him but the aghas didn't obey and then Mustafa passed out, and he says how much longer can this go on? Haci says Kosem is doing whatever she can and she will fix things. Osman responds is this not all Kosem Sultan's fault anyway?
Kosem thanks Meleki. She says this is Halime's doing, my Shehzade's could be in trouble. She orders the carriage to the Palace.
Dilruba enters and asks what happened to her brother. Davut says he fainted, but he is fine, don't worry. She says will we never be happy? Halime tells her to stay patient and pray to God. Dilruba tells Halime that Kosem has survived the assassination and that Gurbuz agha got hit instead. Then she asks what they should now? Halime says we must tie her hands, otherwise she will make the palace difficult for us/narrow for us.
The agha locks Osman up and then says forgive me my shehzade, we didn't want it like this, but we have no power to do anything more.
Humashah paces back and forth and Zulfikar enters. She says what are you doing behind my back? Humashah says we went to my brother's grave today to move him to my Hunkar father's tomb, but the grave was empty. Safiye says explain at once, where is Iskender? Where is my son? She says please tell me he is alive. Zulfikar nods and says he is alive. She asks where is he? What did you do to him? Zulfi says it is enough that you know he is alive...you will not know where he is, anyway he has gone very far.
Iskender is at the ports and hears people saying Mustafa taking the throne, and then opening the coffin in front of everyone. The other man says may I be forgiven but, this Sultan Mustafa is...strange. Iskender asks if Mustafa has taken the throne and then he asks what happened to Sultan Ahmet. He is told he died. He recalls Mehmet Giray's words to him to work together and take the throne, Iskender taking the Ottoman throne, and Mehmet taking the Crimean one. And Iskender had said he didn't ever have ambitions like that and that he never would. Mehmet Giray tells him yes yesterday you did not, but now you are a shehzade...if you want to stay alive, you must start dreaming of the throne.
The man tells Iskender that they will be ready to leave soon.
Safiye scolds Zulfikar saying who are you hiding from who? I am his mother, where is my son? Zulfikar says let him live in a safe way far from the palace. Safiye says Sultan Ahmet is dead, the rules have changed, the eldest and most mature! the throne is his right! Zulfikar says SEE, instead of being happy your son is alive, you start dreaming of the throne! Safiye makes an excuse saying because they will not let him live any other way! She asks humashah to say something, to do something. She says don't worry, I will deal with this matter, you return to the old palace. Humashah tells Zulfikar that by saving her brother, he has given her the world. She says will you not at least tell me where he is. He says trust me it is better this way. She nods.
Kosem orders the doors opened. The guards say we cannot open it without Halime's orders. She says go send word to her, that until I am not certain my son is alive, I will not leave this place.
Haci tells Halime that it is not right to imprison Osman, and that he thinks she should reverse it before it is too late. Dilruba asks if he is threatening her mother. Haci says no, never, I wouldn't dare. Halime says Osman was caught escaping. She says Kosem did it right? Haci says no, it is impossible! She says if you want to stay in the palace, it is! I want you to bear witness against her or else I will take all your wealth and you will spend the rest of your lives in the Yedikule prisons! Cennet says don't my sultana. Halime says everyone living on this land is our Hunkar's subjects, and their loyalty is only to him. I am valide sultana and either you pledge your loyalty to us, or you deal with the consequences. The decision is yours. Haci says I do not know how much of my life is left, but I would rather live in the prison than betray Kosem sultan. There is a knock and Menekshe tells her that Kosem is at the harem doors, wanting to see her. Halime asks if Cennet feels like Haci and wants to spend her last days in prison with rats.
Davut tells the assassin that he had one job and he couldn't do it. The man says that he had no other opportunity to do it, and Davut says hopefully no one saw. The man says no one saw. Then Davut says all that was left was Halil pasha (who has arrived)
Kosem waits for news and Menekshe allows her entrance to see Halime, but Meleki has to stay behind. Safiye tells Bulbul that Iskender is alive.
Eycan meanwhile is trying to feed Kasim who says he doesn't want any. She says how will you not eat, if you do not then you won't grow and won't go off for campaigns! Murad says what campaigns? We cannot even leave this room. But the day will come and I will take them to account for this! Everyone will kneel before me! Eycan says of course, that day will come, be patient, we will not stay here forever.
Kosem says Halim hasn't touched my children right? Menekshe says they are safe, and Kosem rushes to see her boys. The aghas won't so she calls out to them and asks if they are alright. She asks Eycan how ibrahim is. Murad says he looks after his brother. Menekshe catches up and says what are you doing? Kosem says I want to hear Osman and Mehmet's voices as well. Menekshe says that is impossible but that she need not worry they are both safe and sound. Kosem tells her children not to fear, she will come and save them.
Murad says she's gone...then Kasim says I want my mother and cries. Murad tells him to calm down, they will be reunited with her.
Halime says you finally came with your own feet. Kosem says are you jesting with me? I have returned from dead! I know you are both behind it! Dilruba says you are trying to hide your own fault? Kosem says what? Halime says do not deny - we know you tried to help Osman escape. We caught him he is in the dungeons. Kosem says what? You threw my Osman in the dungeon? Halime says you should be thankful I didn't execute him. And now you will get the punishment you deserve. Kosem says are you trying to get rid of me this way since you couldn't have me killed? What kind of slander is this? Halime says slander? Cennet enters. Dilruba says speak Cennet - who gave the order for Osman to run away? Halime says do not fear Cennet, she cannot harm you now. Cennet says forgive me to Kosem and then says that Osman escaped by Kosem's orders and that they were going to have the other princes smuggled as well. Halime orders her locked up on the Maiden's tower.
Safiye tells Bulbul to send word to all the spies to look for Iskender everywhere in the city. She prays to reunite with her son. Bulbul says after all the troubles and you miraculously reunited once, you will reunite again, God is on our side! Iskender stops the carriage, opens the doors and greets his mother.
Lala goes to see Osman saying he wished he didn't have to see him this way, he would rather have died. Osman says do something about it, get me out. Lala says he has spoken to every statesman there is, everyone is worried because there is more bad news - Kosem sultan has been arrested with the excuse that she helped you escape and she will be locked up in the tower. Osman says no, she had nothing to do with it! Lala says the era is theirs now, they will hit everything, but it is sad that it is Kosem Sultan who opened this way - and I do not know how to say this...but the order for the eldest and most mature to get on the throne, it was not Sultan Ahmet, but Kosem Sultan wrote it.
Haci tells Kosem that they wanted him to betray her but she did not. Kosem says but Cennet did. Then Haci says what kind of traitor are you? You will pay for this betrayal, sooner or later!
Safiye meanwhile tells Iskender that Zulfi hid it from them that they found out when they tried to remove his body and move it to his father's tomb. Bulbul says still, thankfully our pasha did not kill him and we are reunited again. Iskender says I was going to leave, but, when I heard Sultan Ahmet had died, then I changed my mind. This is my home, and my land right? Safiye nods. He says my family the one I searched for for years is here. She says yes, this is your land and we are your family. We need to find a safe place for him - Bulbul - and take care of all his needs. At the soonest opportunity we will come visit you - but do not go outside under any circumstance. He says do not worry - mother.
Cennet says I don't mind her words, but the way she looked into my eyes...I was very sad. Lala says you did what you needed to to. It is important for you to stay in the harem to keep an eye on the princes, especially Osman. Cennet says we are walking on fire, Halime can do anything. Lala says she can't we will stop her. Meleksema arrives and Cennet asks what she wants. She says please help, I need to see Osman, I feel like I am being strangled when I do not see him or hear his voice...
Kosem is brought outside and the Janissaries have gathered. Zulfi asks what is going on. Kosem says osman tried to run away - perhaps it is a lie, I am not sure, but they put the blame on me and are putting me in the maiden's tower. Zulfi says how dare they put a Sultana in prison. The agha says we do not want it either, but what can we do, our hands are tied, it is Halil's order. Zulfi tells them that Halil pasha speaks to Halime, and that until they hear from him Kosem is going nowhere. The aghas let go of her. Kosem says let me go, I do not want them harming my princes. Zulfi says no one can do anything to them, we will not allow it! The Janissaries repeat in unision - we will not! An agha of theirs says yes, he is right, we will not allow it, may our lives be in your service!
The Grand Mufti tells Halime that they cannot accuse Kosem on the words of a Kalfa and is there any there proof. Halime says we don't need it, Cennet worked for years under Kosem, is not enough? The Mufti says no, and I will remind you again of the decision of the council! The state has decided. Halil says the law has changed, no one can, no one can do unjust things to Kosem sultan or the shehzades, also, if there something to be considered blameworthy and criminal, it is the assassination attempt on Kosem sultan. Davut tells Halil to watch himself, do not forget in front of you is Valide Sultan. The Mufti says the soldiers are waiting outside and the best thing is to let Kosem and Osman free otherwise, incidents we do not wish to happen can take place.
Halil pasha arrives and informs Kosem that Halime has said there has been a misunderstanding on her part, and she is free. Kosem asks about osman, and Halil says he is going back to his room and one of my aghas will escort him. Kosem says we will take precautions, let the Janissaries and guards be near the palace. Halil pasha allows Haci to also go back with her to the Old palace.
Meleksema has gone to see Osman. He asks how she has entered, and she says Cennet helped out. She says she has missed him. He says my angel faced one! She asks what will happen now, what they will do to him. Osman says everything happened in a moment, it is not apparent who is friend who is foe. An agha appears who says you can return to your room, I will await you. Meleksema says thank God you are free from here, but you are not happy...Osman says what is the difference, being locked up here or my room, it is the same thing. She says don't say that. Do you remember the day you saved me, there was no hope for me, I would have died. Everything was dark, painful, there were tears, beatings...and then you came along. You were like the sun rising. I believe that there is always hope. You believe it too.
Halime curses them all, she says see no one accepts our orders. Not the statesmen, not the soldiers. Dilruba says even the harem is hers. What can we do? Davut says we will purge (the harem) from all of the ones loyal to her. Halime says yes, but who? Who will come in their place, other than a few cariyes and aghas, we have no one who we can trust. Dilruba says what are the aghas from my palace for? Let us bring some of them here. Halime says no, it isn't for one day, we need time. But you are right, we need to start somewhere.
Osman returns and Osman says I do not know how we will get out of here. Maybe never. Do you know how this all happened? She lied to everyone. It was a lie that our father wanted the eldest and most able to take the throne! Mehmet says how, it was a royal decree! Osman says she wrote it herself, she sealed it. She did this instead of mourning for our father. Mehmet says this is a lie, they are trying to blacken my mother's name.
Bulbul tells Cennet that Haci has been removed from his place. Cennet says where have you been today? He says I had work in the market. She says what work, you went to Safiye, what are you doing?! He says what I want to know how you stayed in the harem! Bulbul asks the door keepers to speak and say how Cennet managed to stay. They are silent. He says wow, you guys are so talkative! have they cut your tongues?
Menekshe enters the princes room and Eycan asks who the girl is. Menekshe says the new girl will take Eycan's place. Murad gets up and says Eycan will go nowhere, we want no one else! Menekshe says it is the rules, hurry up then Eycan!
Bulbul says I'm sorry, but it has befallen to give you this news, it is Halime's order that you are to pack up, you are all going to the old palace. Menekshe tells the girls to shut up and do whatever Bulbul says. Bulbul tells them to pack up. Eycan asks Cennet what is going on. Cennet says do not ask, but give this to Kosem Sultan (she hands a letter to her).
Halil is busy when Davut arrives. Halil says enter, Halime's groom. Davut says this is our Hunkar's decree. It is a an order for Halil to go for campaign to Diyarbakir. Halil says when our Padishah doesn't even know about the war, how can he have ordered this? Davut says of course you wanted it, so that I can stay away from the palace, and you do whatever you want. Davut says a little opinion of my own - you have stayed too long in the Capitol.
Humashah goes to see her brother. He says don't worry, I am fine as you see. She says thankfully Zulfi couldn't kill you. Iskender says he doesn't know right? She says let him think you are gone far away. So how did you return? Iskender says I served Sultan Ahmet for so long, I was always loyal, and when I had no crime or sin, he ordered my death. She says Kosem got into his mind, now she is paying for her sin. He says Kosem sultan thought I was a threat to her and her sons. Even though I was always loyal. I always protected her. He recalls what he said to her when he tells her Ahmet forgave him and he was being sent for governorship. Then he says I had told you I was leaving, but you prevented it, and exposed me. You wanted me to die. Why? She says because of the fact that you hid it when you found out. He says I never was disloyal to our Hunkar and I never will, but that was not the reason, you wanted to avenge your sister's death from safiye, had our Hunkar taken my life, you would have been even. Kosem says she did what she had to to protect her children. He says watch yourself, I am no longer Iskender in front of you, but shehzade, the Dynasty you talk about is mine!
Iskender says to Humashah, innocence is over. I have will take what is rightfully mine. I have made a decision, I will get on the throne. Humashah nods. I am curious, will you be on my side like my mother, or not. She says I am on your side of course, until the end!
Bulbul goes to Cennet and she asks what are you doing? He says seeing as you are walking around like this, you have long ago pledged allegiance to Halime sultan. She says Halime sultana is now our Valide Sultan. Bulbul says Cennet goes to whoever has power. She says don't make me angry. Bulbul says you betrayed Safiye for Kosem, now I wonder what Halime gave you that you betrayed Kosem! She says I have no explaining to do to anyone, I did what I had to. Bulbul says Kosem will not leave this just like this, if I were you I would sleep with one eye open!
In the old palace, Eycan arrives and she sees all the harem girls. She says we were all thrown out, anyone who was loyal to you. Kosem asks about Cennet. Eycan says she stayed, who knows how. And she sent this to you. Kosem reads the letter where Cennet says she was very ashamed and saddened to witness against her, but she had to do it, because it is important someone remain in the palace to protect the princes and that she will protect them with her life and she should not doubt and that she is still loyal to her. Haci arrives and Kosem tells him Halime has sent away those loyal to us, except Cennet. Kosem tells him that Cennet has not betrayed them. Haci says how? She gives the letter over. Haci says this isn't a game right? Kosem says maybe, maybe not. He says what do you think should be done? She says I want everyone to hear and find out that Mustafa is mad. When the time comes we will gather witnesses. And then you know, on Ulefe day, shehzade Osman will get on the throne.
Safiye and Halime are seated together and she says to her daughter, did you see him, this time, Zulfikar will not know, you will not say, he should not doubt, he might follow you and find out. We should not live through the same thing again. Humashah says I won't of course, but let us not forget it was he who saved his life. Safiiye says yes, we will be more careful this time. If needed we will wait years...he will get on the throne, God has chosen him, fate shines on him - despite everything he suffered, he survived, this is the reason.
Cennet notices approaches Menekshe and says I wonder what does Halime think of her will she give her a special rank. Menekshe says if it was up to me, I would have thrown you out long ago, but she has something in mind I guess. If you want a task, then there are dirty clothes, go take them to the washing room to be cleaned. Cennet switches something oh her table. Menekshe asks how she looks? Cennet says wow, you look like a Sultana!
Mustafa says he does not want to go for Friday greetings. She says you have to, the people will bring their complaints to you and they must see that the rumours about you are not true. Halime makes him take the "medicine" that Cennet switched.

Dilruba says to her servant that the fabrics they ordered for have come and after the jeweller/moneylender let us visit.
Zulfikar and Humashah are having a meal, he says finally you are smiling. She says even if I do not know where he is at least I know he is alive. Halime does not allow for (anyone) to see our Shehzades, when am I going to be able to go to the palace? Zulfi says because of the orders of Mustafa, only a few aghas can go see them just to make sure they are alive, anyway, everything will end tomorrow - tomorrow it is Ulefe day. Humashah asks what he means. He says Halime's sultanate will be short. The throne will change hands again because - Sultan Mustafa is not well, he is not well in his mind. She says oh my God! So the rumours are true, he has lost his mind - but who will get on the throne now then? He says Shehzade Osman.
Mustafa enters the courtyard of the Mosque, and Davut tells him that he has won the people's love. Just then Mustafa imagines seeing Osman. He hears him say why did you do this to me uncle? Why have you taken my rights?! He says no I didn't do it! Osman says the time has come uncle! I will take your life! Mustafa says no Osman, then he completely starts going mad and pushes through the people.
Dilruba comes face to face with Kosem. She says is this a coincidence or ? Kosem says I was waiting for you, we cannot speak to your mother, she has closed all doors, maybe we can come to an agreement. Dilruba says I have nothing to speak to you about. Especially not in this manner. She turns and notices she is surrounded by Kosem's men. She asks what is this? Kosem says don't worry, I want to make an agreement, I have a proposition for you. Tomorrow during Ulefe day, my shehzade Osman will take the throne - you, your mother and your husband will accept this willingly, and I, in return will spare your lives. Dilruba chuckles and says do you hear what escapes your mouth?! Mustafa runs through the markets mad and confused. He shouts out, I am Sultan Mustafa Han! Take me to my palace again, where is my palace?! Take me to my palace! Help me, I am the king, I am Sultan Mustafa.
Kosem tells Dilruba you are an intelligent Sultana, I will eventually dethrone your brother. I want this to be handled without shedding blood. Convince your mother and your husband. Dilruba responds saying , well who will convince me? You? I will not bow to your threats. Especially while your shehzades are in our hands. Kosem says Dilruba listen to me! Dilruba orders the men to move. Kosem says they only obey my orders and I want you to stay here until I remove your brother from the throne. Dilruba says do you really think my mother will sacrifice my brother for me? you cannot threaten her using me. Kosem says I do not care an ounce for your mother! The one I am concerned with is Davut Pasha. There is nothing he has not done for you. Dilruba is surrounded and says Kosem! How dare you! Who do you think you are!
Mustafa shouts again and again to be taken to "his" palace and for help. He says they will kill me, help me! Please help me! Protect me from Shehzade Osman. He starts tossing coins, saying don't touch me. Don't come close, take! take this! Do not touch me! Davut arrives and says come to your senses! Zulfikar enters the scene. Davut manages to coax Mustafa to stand up and then says you can return to the palace and orders the men to open the way. The people start saying what have we come to? We have a mad sultan! Our ruler is insane!
Halime has come to visit Safiye who asks what is going on and the last time she saw her, she thought she would never see her again. Halime says you look well, your mourning is over, Safiye says you have not come here to share your grief have you? What do you want? Halime says I want to be rid of Kosem sultan, and I think, that you will do this happily.
Mehmet Giray hears the men talking about Mustafa's episode in the market. Mehmet tells his guards to wait, he will have some coffee and return.
Halime tells Safiye that Kosem will not cease, and that she has prepared to dethrone Mustafa and that it is not as easy as she thinks, she will be rid of her, as long as you help me. Safiye says maybe, but what will you give in return? Halime says I will allow you to go to another palace, servants at your command, and you can go back to how you lived before in luxury. Safiye says you are so generous. If you want us to take Kosem's life, well, we are not murderers. Halime says I want her to die before dying - as long as you prevent her from leaving this palace tonight, that will be enough.
Mehmet Giray meets with Iskender and says they are speaking about Mustafa everywhere, that he is mad. Iskender says he has heard and that smoke doesn't come from a place there is no fire. Mehmet says if this is true their task will be child play. Then he says I have informed my men, I am running away tonight, and we will go together to Kafkas territory, I have friends there who will help us. We will raise a powerful army. Iskender nods.
Humashah tells Safiye that Zulfi says that Kosem is ready to burn the ships so to speak - she will have Mustafa removed from the throne tomorrow. Safiye says that is not certain at all - Halime came to visit me, she wants me to stop Kosem tonight, her intention is obvious. Humashah says will she send executioners to the princes? Safiye says she thinks her son will be the only remaining, she does not know about Iskender. Humashah says what shall we do? Are we going to allow her? Safiye says let Halime kill the princes...the rest is easy - we will get rid of mad Mustafa and then Iskender's reign will begin - our reign!
Mustafa tells his mother, Osman got out of his room, I saw him in the market, he said I will take my throne from me. She says why have you become this way, I gave his medication. Mustafa says I saw Osman! He was going to kill me, he came to me with a sword! Halime says Osman has been in his room. He says you are lying. She says Menekshe show our Hunkar sh. Osman so he can be rest assured. Then she turns to Davut and says send word to our most trusted aghas, we need to get rid of all the shehzades. Davut says isn't it early? She shakes her head. No it is not, it is the right time, otherwise everything could end tomorrow at the Ulefe session. (btw, Ulefe is when the people gather to express concerns, complaints, and also salary paid to soldiers. )
Osman asks Mehmet if that is his book. Mehmet says yes, it says here that human beings with the hope that their fates can change. Osman says our fates are obvious to be imprisoned between four walls. The doors open and Mustafa looks inside. Menekshe says see he is here, he has not left at all. Mehmet asks what this is about. Osman says I have no idea.
Davut asks where Dilruba is, he is told she went to the market, but has not returned. Zulfikar arrives and he asks why he is here. Zulfikar we are hosting Dirluba for a while, I have come to say don't worry. Davut says have you taken her as leverage? Zulfikar says all the statesmen are in agreement that Sultan Mustafa is not in a state to be able to do his duties. Tomorrow Sh. Osman will take the throne. If you do not go against this, if you side with us, God willing, you will be reunited with Dilruba after the ceremony of enthronement. Davut says or else? Zulfikar says if not, you will never see your wife again, Davut. Davut calls after him and says they grab Zulfikar. Davut says where is she, lets not lengthen this matter. Zulfi says it won't anyway, it will be solved tomorrow. Davut orders him taken for interrogation, and for his henchman to be called.
Davut speaks to Halime tells her that if they do not accept willingly Osman's taking the throne, then they will kill Dilruba. He says he is trying to get Zulfikar to speak. Halime says Kosem, you have hit me where I least expected! Davut says what shall we do!
Halime says you continue pressing Zulfikar, I will ask around in the harem. Hopefully some news will come out. We will find her. Davut says I will do whatever to find her, but if we cannot find her? She says not now, if we take one step back - they can destroy us. That is why we need to be rid of the Shehzades tonight! Davut says at the expense of Dilruba's life?! Halime says we have no other choice! I wish there was. Davut says how can we do that, how can we sacrifice her, she is your daughter?! Halime says and Mustafa is my son! Do you think they will let us live if we accept their terms? No, they will take all our lives!
Davut wonders what he is going to do. Zulfikar is being beaten and the henchman says I am tired of beating you, while you are not tired of being beaten! Zulfi says Kilindi, shut up then...you dog of Davut, you disgraced one of the Janissaries. Kilindi? (this is what I hear his name to be) continues beating him saying speak! speak!
Cennet is brought before Halime and shows a bottle of medicine. Halime says you still serve Kosem right? It looks like Mustafa's medication but it is not. Menekshe says when you came to my room today you change it right? Cennet says you are lying. Halime says shut up. Do you think I am stupid? Speak up, where is Dilruba? Cennet says what are you talking about, I swear, I do not know. Halime says tonight many people will die and I will first start with you. She then calls the aghas to kill her. Cennet keeps saying I did not do anything! Bulbul sees her being dragged away.
Davut arrives and asks if Zulfikar has spoken, Kilindi says no. Davut tells him he will say where she is, and then tortures him.
Halime says the time has come. She says aghas, get the shehzades from their rooms. Menekshe says sultanim, this means Dilruba's end too, are you willing? Halime says my daughter will understand. Everything is for her brother's future.
Kosem says tonight is the end Meleki, I will reunite with my children. Let Osman take the throne tomorrow, we can return to our home. Safiye's men arrive and take out Kosem's guards and lock her doors, she asks what is that sound. Meleki says they have locked the door. She shouts open the door! I say open the door! Aghas! Meleki says don't worry Haci will come save us soon. But poor Haci is tied up.
Safiye is told that she should not worry, Kosem cannot leave her room tonight and they dealt with Haci and her daughters have no idea what is happening. Safiye says good, and tomorrow the old palace will groan with Kosem's shrieks!
Osman recalls his father's words saying that their fighting makes him very sad and that they should end it at once, and that brotherly love is one of the most precious things in this world, that no one knows the future, but they should always be just - to both friend and foe, because once they cross justice, then they can never go back...that in the house of power, there is nothing but treachery. You should turn your face to each other and your backs to your enemies. Protect each other. Osman says your words will always be with me and Mehmet says me too. Mehmet wakes up and says Osman what are you doing? Osman says sometimes, I see my father in my dreams...do you remember that day he gifted us both horses, Mehmet recalls the gifts when Ahmet gives Osman the grey horse and gives Mehmet the black one. Mehmet says yes I remember. Osman says I do not know when we will get out of here, or what will happen tomorrow. But, I will keep the promise to my father. No matter we live through, I will never turn my back on you. Mehmet says where is this coming from suddenly. Osman says I just wanted you to know that. We are brothers. Even if our mothers are different, our father's one..we are from the same blood. We will not separate. We will get over this trouble too with God's permission.
Aghas enter the princes room and say you are coming with us. Beyazid says where are we going? the aghas say it is by our Valide sultan's orders. Murat says stay away from my brothers or I will hurt you! Let me go, let me go!
Cennet is about to be killed when Bulbul comes, I prevented to you, but I wanted to become her last witness, continue - then he hits him on the head. She hugs him and says FOR LIFE I WILL PRAY FOR YOU! Then she says Halime will kill the princes. Bulbul says I know, that is why I came...I could not allow that to happen.
The doors are opened and they grab Osman and Mehmet.
Kosem says no one will come, and our hands are tied. Halime will kill my children! OPEN THE DOORS!
Meleksema comes out of nowhere and says what is going on, Osman says I do not know. Mehmet shouts they will kill us, send word to our mother! She says leave them. Osman tells her not to fear.
Safiye meets with her son and says I always think of you, I cannot sleep thinking that someone will find out about you. He says don't worry I take care of myself, but I cannot handle hiding and running. She says be patient, soon something will happen and our reign - your reign will continue. Iskender says if there are no soldiers nothing can happen - that is why I spoke with Mehmet Giray. Tonight he will escape and we will go together to Kafkas for him to help me. She says where is this coming from suddenly? He says we need an army. She says do not trust him, he has betrayed our family many times, how do you know he will not betray you, only trust us. Iskender says I made an agreement with him, I cannot leave him halfway. She says who is he? You are our most precious treasure, you are from the noble Ottoman family, you do not need your subjects.
Someone enters and says the palace has sent this. Mehmet Giray says if I were to run away right now what would you do? The guard says you wouldn't. He says say I did it, and I hit you down, and then get rid of all the guards there one by one. He says you cannot. Mehmet does it.
The doors open and Humashah enters and says hurry up, Halime is going to kill your sons, go save them. Kosem says thank you, I will never forget this goodness from you.
Bulbul says oh no we are late. Cennet says we must find them let us search the harem bit by bit.
The younger princes are crying and Osman and Mehmet are thrown in. Osman asks how they are and if they did anything to them. Murad says they can never do anything while I am here! Why have we been brought here my brother? Mehmet says it is obvious they will execute us. Osman says Mehmet (shush!) And the little ones start asking are they going to kill us? Osman says do not cry, I am with you, I will protect you with my life.
Mustafa lays in his mother's lap. Menekshe arrives to tell her that the princes have been taken from their rooms and put in Sirca Mansion. Halime says good, tell Davut to call the executioners. The shehzades will not see the morning.
Zulfikar does not speak when Davut says where is she. Zulfikar says Sultan Osman will not kill anyone - not Mustafa, not you, nor Dilruba. Davut says there will be no standing Shehzade to get ont he throne tomorrow, they are all being killed tonight. Zulfi says Kosem sultan will be here already and the Janissaries are at the doors. Think - while you are here, who will stop them? The time has come, make a decision - Dilruba or the mad sultan?
Kosem says I hope we are not late. oh God please protect my children. Haci says the janissaries know and are waiting for them, and God Willing she will reunite with the princes. She shouts for the carriage to go faster.
Humashah wonders where Zulfikar is - she is told he had gone to Dilruba's palace and didn't return. Cennet and Bulbul have not found the princes. She tells Bulbul to go open the harem doors and she will go try to speak to Halime to find out where they are.
Iskender waits for Mehmet who says we must hurry, they are looking for me everywhere. Iskender says you go alone, I will stay here. Mehmet Giray asks why did you change your mind. Iskender says I belong here, in my land, I do not want to live in a foreign place. Mehmet says as you wish, if you need me, just send word to me, I will always ally with you. Guards have come looking.
Humashah finds Zulfikar and thanks God he is alive.
Meleksema tells Cennet about the princes being taken. Cennet says I know that, but do you know to where? Meleksema says no, I don't but sh. Mehmet said they are going to be executed, is this true? Cennet says speak good! Be calm! Meleksema tells her if something happens I will hurt you! Cennet says calm down! Kosem is on the way! Don't detain me, I need to find our princes!
The executioners are about to enter the room and Osman, Murat and Mehmet stand ready to take them on.
Cennet says she must speak to Halime and Menekshe says how did you escape?! Cennet says she won't be killed off that easily, tell where you have hidden the princes! Menekshe says it is over already!
Safiye wonders who has let Kosem out of the room. Abbas agha says I do not know! Safiye scolds him.
Kosem arrives and the soldiers are waiting. The men at the gates try to stop but change their minds. Bulbul arrives says thank God! Kosem says what are you doing here? He says we are looking for the princes, but we can't find them!
The executioners enter and an agha says it is Mustafa's order, kneel down. Osman shakes his head. Osman puts up a struggle and we hear the little ones saying let me go!
Cennet shouts out saying KOSEM SULTAN WILL CERTAINLY RETURN AND WHAT YOU HAVE DONE WILL NOT GO UNANSWERED! The Janissaries arrive and take down the guards. Mustafa says have they come to get me? Halime says shh, I am with you, I won't give you to anyone. Kosem enters with her entourage. and asks where her sons are. Halime says you are too late Kosem.
Kosem says what have you done with my sons, where are they speak up! Halime sayshave you understood how it pains to have your child in danger? Kosem says what kind of traitor are you?! I did everything to protect Mustafa, is this how you return the favour!? Halime says you locked him for years! you condemned him to solitude! Now your children have died in the same place. Kosem says we are going to the Sirca Kosk. Halime says you are too late Kosem, you were not able to protect your children.

Kosem is saved by Meleki taking her out of harms way and Gurbuz is hit instead.
Halime says to Osman, so it was too much to stay locked for two days think of our Hunkar, he has been between four walls for years. Osman says what is this, you are taking revenge now? What do you think you are doing, you think this will go unanswered? The throne is mine! I will take my throne and you will all pay for this. Mustafa asks what the punishment is for an escapee Shehzade, Davut says execution. Mustafa says in that case, execute him at once! No one moves.
Mustafa asks the aghas what they are waiting for. I am the Padishah! If I say execute, then you must do it! The agha says forgive us, but the laws have changed, it is not permissible to execute him. Davut says are you going against the Sultan's orders?! Mustafa has some sort of seizure or something, probably from the medication Halime gave. Davut tells the aghas that they will answer later, and to take Osman to the dungeons. Halime calls for doctors.
Mehmet calls for the aghas but no answer. Finally he doors open and Mehmet asks what happened to Osman he is told that they have imprisoned him.
Cennet is thankful Osman is alright. Osman says they were going to execute him but the aghas didn't obey and then Mustafa passed out, and he says how much longer can this go on? Haci says Kosem is doing whatever she can and she will fix things. Osman responds is this not all Kosem Sultan's fault anyway?
Kosem thanks Meleki. She says this is Halime's doing, my Shehzade's could be in trouble. She orders the carriage to the Palace.
Dilruba enters and asks what happened to her brother. Davut says he fainted, but he is fine, don't worry. She says will we never be happy? Halime tells her to stay patient and pray to God. Dilruba tells Halime that Kosem has survived the assassination and that Gurbuz agha got hit instead. Then she asks what they should now? Halime says we must tie her hands, otherwise she will make the palace difficult for us/narrow for us.
The agha locks Osman up and then says forgive me my shehzade, we didn't want it like this, but we have no power to do anything more.
Humashah paces back and forth and Zulfikar enters. She says what are you doing behind my back? Humashah says we went to my brother's grave today to move him to my Hunkar father's tomb, but the grave was empty. Safiye says explain at once, where is Iskender? Where is my son? She says please tell me he is alive. Zulfikar nods and says he is alive. She asks where is he? What did you do to him? Zulfi says it is enough that you know he is alive...you will not know where he is, anyway he has gone very far.
Iskender is at the ports and hears people saying Mustafa taking the throne, and then opening the coffin in front of everyone. The other man says may I be forgiven but, this Sultan Mustafa is...strange. Iskender asks if Mustafa has taken the throne and then he asks what happened to Sultan Ahmet. He is told he died. He recalls Mehmet Giray's words to him to work together and take the throne, Iskender taking the Ottoman throne, and Mehmet taking the Crimean one. And Iskender had said he didn't ever have ambitions like that and that he never would. Mehmet Giray tells him yes yesterday you did not, but now you are a shehzade...if you want to stay alive, you must start dreaming of the throne.
The man tells Iskender that they will be ready to leave soon.
Safiye scolds Zulfikar saying who are you hiding from who? I am his mother, where is my son? Zulfikar says let him live in a safe way far from the palace. Safiye says Sultan Ahmet is dead, the rules have changed, the eldest and most mature! the throne is his right! Zulfikar says SEE, instead of being happy your son is alive, you start dreaming of the throne! Safiye makes an excuse saying because they will not let him live any other way! She asks humashah to say something, to do something. She says don't worry, I will deal with this matter, you return to the old palace. Humashah tells Zulfikar that by saving her brother, he has given her the world. She says will you not at least tell me where he is. He says trust me it is better this way. She nods.
Kosem orders the doors opened. The guards say we cannot open it without Halime's orders. She says go send word to her, that until I am not certain my son is alive, I will not leave this place.
Haci tells Halime that it is not right to imprison Osman, and that he thinks she should reverse it before it is too late. Dilruba asks if he is threatening her mother. Haci says no, never, I wouldn't dare. Halime says Osman was caught escaping. She says Kosem did it right? Haci says no, it is impossible! She says if you want to stay in the palace, it is! I want you to bear witness against her or else I will take all your wealth and you will spend the rest of your lives in the Yedikule prisons! Cennet says don't my sultana. Halime says everyone living on this land is our Hunkar's subjects, and their loyalty is only to him. I am valide sultana and either you pledge your loyalty to us, or you deal with the consequences. The decision is yours. Haci says I do not know how much of my life is left, but I would rather live in the prison than betray Kosem sultan. There is a knock and Menekshe tells her that Kosem is at the harem doors, wanting to see her. Halime asks if Cennet feels like Haci and wants to spend her last days in prison with rats.
Davut tells the assassin that he had one job and he couldn't do it. The man says that he had no other opportunity to do it, and Davut says hopefully no one saw. The man says no one saw. Then Davut says all that was left was Halil pasha (who has arrived)
Kosem waits for news and Menekshe allows her entrance to see Halime, but Meleki has to stay behind. Safiye tells Bulbul that Iskender is alive.
Eycan meanwhile is trying to feed Kasim who says he doesn't want any. She says how will you not eat, if you do not then you won't grow and won't go off for campaigns! Murad says what campaigns? We cannot even leave this room. But the day will come and I will take them to account for this! Everyone will kneel before me! Eycan says of course, that day will come, be patient, we will not stay here forever.
Kosem says Halim hasn't touched my children right? Menekshe says they are safe, and Kosem rushes to see her boys. The aghas won't so she calls out to them and asks if they are alright. She asks Eycan how ibrahim is. Murad says he looks after his brother. Menekshe catches up and says what are you doing? Kosem says I want to hear Osman and Mehmet's voices as well. Menekshe says that is impossible but that she need not worry they are both safe and sound. Kosem tells her children not to fear, she will come and save them.
Murad says she's gone...then Kasim says I want my mother and cries. Murad tells him to calm down, they will be reunited with her.
Halime says you finally came with your own feet. Kosem says are you jesting with me? I have returned from dead! I know you are both behind it! Dilruba says you are trying to hide your own fault? Kosem says what? Halime says do not deny - we know you tried to help Osman escape. We caught him he is in the dungeons. Kosem says what? You threw my Osman in the dungeon? Halime says you should be thankful I didn't execute him. And now you will get the punishment you deserve. Kosem says are you trying to get rid of me this way since you couldn't have me killed? What kind of slander is this? Halime says slander? Cennet enters. Dilruba says speak Cennet - who gave the order for Osman to run away? Halime says do not fear Cennet, she cannot harm you now. Cennet says forgive me to Kosem and then says that Osman escaped by Kosem's orders and that they were going to have the other princes smuggled as well. Halime orders her locked up on the Maiden's tower.
Safiye tells Bulbul to send word to all the spies to look for Iskender everywhere in the city. She prays to reunite with her son. Bulbul says after all the troubles and you miraculously reunited once, you will reunite again, God is on our side! Iskender stops the carriage, opens the doors and greets his mother.
Lala goes to see Osman saying he wished he didn't have to see him this way, he would rather have died. Osman says do something about it, get me out. Lala says he has spoken to every statesman there is, everyone is worried because there is more bad news - Kosem sultan has been arrested with the excuse that she helped you escape and she will be locked up in the tower. Osman says no, she had nothing to do with it! Lala says the era is theirs now, they will hit everything, but it is sad that it is Kosem Sultan who opened this way - and I do not know how to say this...but the order for the eldest and most mature to get on the throne, it was not Sultan Ahmet, but Kosem Sultan wrote it.
Haci tells Kosem that they wanted him to betray her but she did not. Kosem says but Cennet did. Then Haci says what kind of traitor are you? You will pay for this betrayal, sooner or later!
Safiye meanwhile tells Iskender that Zulfi hid it from them that they found out when they tried to remove his body and move it to his father's tomb. Bulbul says still, thankfully our pasha did not kill him and we are reunited again. Iskender says I was going to leave, but, when I heard Sultan Ahmet had died, then I changed my mind. This is my home, and my land right? Safiye nods. He says my family the one I searched for for years is here. She says yes, this is your land and we are your family. We need to find a safe place for him - Bulbul - and take care of all his needs. At the soonest opportunity we will come visit you - but do not go outside under any circumstance. He says do not worry - mother.
Cennet says I don't mind her words, but the way she looked into my eyes...I was very sad. Lala says you did what you needed to to. It is important for you to stay in the harem to keep an eye on the princes, especially Osman. Cennet says we are walking on fire, Halime can do anything. Lala says she can't we will stop her. Meleksema arrives and Cennet asks what she wants. She says please help, I need to see Osman, I feel like I am being strangled when I do not see him or hear his voice...
Kosem is brought outside and the Janissaries have gathered. Zulfi asks what is going on. Kosem says osman tried to run away - perhaps it is a lie, I am not sure, but they put the blame on me and are putting me in the maiden's tower. Zulfi says how dare they put a Sultana in prison. The agha says we do not want it either, but what can we do, our hands are tied, it is Halil's order. Zulfi tells them that Halil pasha speaks to Halime, and that until they hear from him Kosem is going nowhere. The aghas let go of her. Kosem says let me go, I do not want them harming my princes. Zulfi says no one can do anything to them, we will not allow it! The Janissaries repeat in unision - we will not! An agha of theirs says yes, he is right, we will not allow it, may our lives be in your service!
The Grand Mufti tells Halime that they cannot accuse Kosem on the words of a Kalfa and is there any there proof. Halime says we don't need it, Cennet worked for years under Kosem, is not enough? The Mufti says no, and I will remind you again of the decision of the council! The state has decided. Halil says the law has changed, no one can, no one can do unjust things to Kosem sultan or the shehzades, also, if there something to be considered blameworthy and criminal, it is the assassination attempt on Kosem sultan. Davut tells Halil to watch himself, do not forget in front of you is Valide Sultan. The Mufti says the soldiers are waiting outside and the best thing is to let Kosem and Osman free otherwise, incidents we do not wish to happen can take place.
Halil pasha arrives and informs Kosem that Halime has said there has been a misunderstanding on her part, and she is free. Kosem asks about osman, and Halil says he is going back to his room and one of my aghas will escort him. Kosem says we will take precautions, let the Janissaries and guards be near the palace. Halil pasha allows Haci to also go back with her to the Old palace.
Meleksema has gone to see Osman. He asks how she has entered, and she says Cennet helped out. She says she has missed him. He says my angel faced one! She asks what will happen now, what they will do to him. Osman says everything happened in a moment, it is not apparent who is friend who is foe. An agha appears who says you can return to your room, I will await you. Meleksema says thank God you are free from here, but you are not happy...Osman says what is the difference, being locked up here or my room, it is the same thing. She says don't say that. Do you remember the day you saved me, there was no hope for me, I would have died. Everything was dark, painful, there were tears, beatings...and then you came along. You were like the sun rising. I believe that there is always hope. You believe it too.
Halime curses them all, she says see no one accepts our orders. Not the statesmen, not the soldiers. Dilruba says even the harem is hers. What can we do? Davut says we will purge (the harem) from all of the ones loyal to her. Halime says yes, but who? Who will come in their place, other than a few cariyes and aghas, we have no one who we can trust. He says what I want to know how you stayed in the harem! Bulbul asks the door keepers to speak and say how Cennet managed to stay. They are silent. He says wow, you guys are so talkative! have they cut your tongues?
Menekshe enters the princes room and Eycan asks who the girl is. Menekshe says the new girl will take Eycan's place. Murad gets up and says Eycan will go nowhere, we want no one else! Menekshe says it is the rules, hurry up then Eycan!
Bulbul says I'm sorry, but it has befallen to give you this news, it is Halime's order that you are to pack up, you are all going to the old palace. Menekshe tells the girls to shut up and do whatever Bulbul says. Bulbul tells them to pack up. Eycan asks Cennet what is going on. Cennet says do not ask, but give this to Kosem Sultan (she hands a letter to her).
Halil is busy when Davut arrives. Halil says enter, Halime's groom. Davut says this is our Hunkar's decree. It is a an order for Halil to go for campaign to Diyarbakir. Halil says when our Padishah doesn't even know about the war, how can he have ordered this? Davut says of course you wanted it, so that I can stay away from the palace, and you do whatever you want. Humashah goes to see her brother. He says don't worry, I am fine as you see. She says thankfully Zulfi couldn't kill you. Iskender says he doesn't know right? She says let him think you are gone far away. So how did you return? Iskender says I served Sultan Ahmet for so long, I was always loyal, and when I had no crime or sin, he ordered my death. She says Kosem got into his mind, now she is paying for her sin. He says Kosem sultan thought I was a threat to her and her sons. Even though I was always loyal. I always protected her. He recalls what he said to her when he tells her Ahmet forgave him and he was being sent for governorship. Then he says I had told you I was leaving, but you prevented it, and exposed me. You wanted me to die. Why? She says because of the fact that you hid it when you found out. He says I never was disloyal to our Hunkar and I never will, but that was not the reason, you wanted to avenge your sister's death from safiye, had our Hunkar taken my life, you would have been even. Kosem says she did what she had to to protect her children. He says watch yourself, I am no longer Iskender in front of you, but shehzade, the Dynasty you talk about is mine!
Iskender says to Humashah, innocence is over. I have will take what is rightfully mine. I have made a decision, I will get on the throne. Humashah nods. I am curious, will you be on my side like my mother, or not. She says I am on your side of course, until the end!
Bulbul goes to Cennet and she asks what are you doing? He says seeing as you are walking around like this, you have long ago pledged allegiance to Halime sultan. She says Halime sultana is now our Valide Sultan. Bulbul says Cennet goes to whoever has power. She says don't make me angry. Bulbul says you betrayed Safiye for Kosem, now I wonder what Halime gave you that you betrayed Kosem! She says I have no explaining to do to anyone, I did what I had to. Bulbul says Kosem will not leave this just like this, if I were you I would sleep with one eye open!
In the old palace, Eycan arrives and she sees all the harem girls. She says we were all thrown out, anyone who was loyal to you. Kosem asks about Cennet. Eycan says she stayed, who knows how. And she sent this to you. Kosem reads the letter where Cennet says she was very ashamed and saddened to witness against her, but she had to do it, because it is important someone remain in the palace to protect the princes and that she will protect them with her life and she should not doubt and that she is still loyal to her. Haci arrives and Kosem tells him Halime has sent away those loyal to us, except Cennet. Kosem tells him that Cennet has not betrayed them. Haci says how? She gives the letter over. Haci says this isn't a game right? Kosem says maybe, maybe not. He says what do you think should be done? She says I want everyone to hear and find out that Mustafa is mad. When the time comes we will gather witnesses. And then you know, on Ulefe day, shehzade Osman will get on the throne.
Safiye and Halime are seated together and she says to her daughter, did you see him, this time, Zulfikar will not know, you will not say, he should not doubt, he might follow you and find out. We should not live through the same thing again. Humashah says I won't of course, but let us not forget it was he who saved his life. Safiiye says yes, we will be more careful this time. If needed we will wait years...he will get on the throne, God has chosen him, fate shines on him - despite everything he suffered, he survived, this is the reason.
Cennet notices approaches Menekshe and says I wonder what does Halime think of her will she give her a special rank. Mustafa says he does not want to go for Friday greetings. She says you have to, the people will bring their complaints to you and they must see that the rumours about you are not true. Halime makes him take the "medicine" that Cennet switched.

Dilruba says to her servant that the fabrics they ordered for have come and after the jeweller/moneylender let us visit.
Zulfikar and Humashah are having a meal, he says finally you are smiling. She says even if I do not know where he is at least I know he is alive. Halime does not allow for (anyone) to see our Shehzades, when am I going to be able to go to the palace? Zulfi says because of the orders of Mustafa, only a few aghas can go see them just to make sure they are alive, anyway, everything will end tomorrow - tomorrow it is Ulefe day. Humashah asks what he means. He says Halime's sultanate will be short. The throne will change hands again because - Sultan Mustafa is not well, he is not well in his mind. She says oh my God! So the rumours are true, he has lost his mind - but who will get on the throne now then? He says Shehzade Osman.
Mustafa enters the courtyard of the Mosque, and Davut tells him that he has won the people's love. Just then Mustafa imagines seeing Osman. He hears him say why did you do this to me uncle? Why have you taken my rights?! He says no I didn't do it! Osman says the time has come uncle! I will take your life! Mustafa says no Osman, then he completely starts going mad and pushes through the people.
Dilruba comes face to face with Kosem. She says is this a coincidence or ? Kosem says I was waiting for you, we cannot speak to your mother, she has closed all doors, maybe we can come to an agreement. Dilruba says I have nothing to speak to you about. Especially not in this manner. She turns and notices she is surrounded by Kosem's men. She asks what is this? Kosem says don't worry, I want to make an agreement, I have a proposition for you. Tomorrow during Ulefe day, my shehzade Osman will take the throne - you, your mother and your husband will accept this willingly, and I, in return will spare your lives. Dilruba chuckles and says do you hear what escapes your mouth?! Mustafa runs through the markets mad and confused. He shouts out, I am Sultan Mustafa Han! Take me to my palace again, where is my palace?! Take me to my palace! Help me, I am the king, I am Sultan Mustafa.
Kosem tells Dilruba you are an intelligent Sultana, I will eventually dethrone your brother. I want this to be handled without shedding blood. Convince your mother and your husband. Dilruba responds saying , well who will convince me? You? I will not bow to your threats. Especially while your shehzades are in our hands. Kosem says Dilruba listen to me! Dilruba orders the men to move. Kosem says they only obey my orders and I want you to stay here until I remove your brother from the throne. Mustafa shouts again and again to be taken to "his" palace and for help. He says they will kill me, help me! Please help me! Protect me from Shehzade Osman. He starts tossing coins, saying don't touch me. Don't come close, take! take this! Do not touch me! Davut arrives and says come to your senses! Zulfikar enters the scene. Davut manages to coax Mustafa to stand up and then says you can return to the palace and orders the men to open the way. The people start saying what have we come to? We have a mad sultan! Our ruler is insane!
Halime has come to visit Safiye who asks what is going on and the last time she saw her, she thought she would never see her again. Halime says you look well, your mourning is over, Safiye says you have not come here to share your grief have you? What do you want? Mehmet Giray hears the men talking about Mustafa's episode in the market. Mehmet tells his guards to wait, he will have some coffee and return.
Halime tells Safiye that Kosem will not cease, and that she has prepared to dethrone Mustafa and that it is not as easy as she thinks, she will be rid of her, as long as you help me. Safiye says maybe, but what will you give in return? Halime says I will allow you to go to another palace, servants at your command, and you can go back to how you lived before in luxury. He says don't worry I take care of myself, but I cannot handle hiding and running. She says be patient, soon something will happen and our reign - your reign will continue. Iskender says if there are no soldiers nothing can happen - that is why I spoke with Mehmet Giray. Tonight he will escape and we will go together to Kafkas for him to help me. She says where is this coming from suddenly? He says we need an army. She says do not trust him, he has betrayed our family many times, how do you know he will not betray you, only trust us. Kosem says I hope we are not late. oh God please protect my children. Haci says the janissaries know and are waiting for them, and God Willing she will reunite with the princes. She shouts for the carriage to go faster.

The executioners enter and an agha says it is Mustafa's order, kneel down. Osman shakes his head. Osman puts up a struggle and we hear the little ones saying let me go!
Cennet shouts out saying KOSEM SULTAN WILL CERTAINLY RETURN AND WHAT YOU HAVE DONE WILL NOT GO UNANSWERED! The Janissaries arrive and take down the guards. Mustafa says have they come to get me? Halime says shh, I am with you, I won't give you to anyone. Kosem enters with her entourage. and asks where her sons are. Halime says you are too late Kosem.
Kosem says what have you done with my sons, where are they speak up! Halime sayshave you understood how it pains to have your child in danger? Kosem says what kind of traitor are you?! I did everything to protect Mustafa, is this how you return the favour!? Halime says you locked him for years! you condemned him to solitude! Now your children have died in the same place. Kosem says we are going to the Sirca Kosk. Halime says you are too late Kosem, you were not able to protect your children.
